Devotees and charitable organizations across the country are fuming over the allegations of adulteration of Tirumala Laddu Maha Prasad (Tirupati Laddu). They are demanding an immediate investigation and action against those responsible. In response to this, actor Manchu Vishnu, the president of ‘MAA’, has fired back at actor Prakash Raj for his recent post on the X platform regarding the controversy.
Manchu Vishnu advised Prakash Raj to act with restraint in such matters, stating, “Prakashraj. Please don’t be so depressed and impatient. Tirumala Laddu is not just a prasad. It is a symbol of the faith of crores of Hindus like me.” He further mentioned that Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan has already asked for a thorough inquiry into this matter and appropriate steps will be taken to protect Dharma. Manchu Vishnu questioned, “If there are people like you, what kind of religion is there?”
On Friday evening, actor Prakash Raj posted on the X platform, quoting Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan, “This is an incident that happened in the state where you are the Deputy Chief Minister. Investigate and take action against criminals. Why are you creating unnecessary fears and making this a national debate? Enough of the existing communal tensions in our country (thanks to your friends at the center #justasking).”
Prakash Raj’s post aimed to highlight the need for a thorough investigation and action against those responsible for the alleged adulteration of Tirumala Laddu Prasad. However, Manchu Vishnu’s response suggests that the actor should be more sensitive when addressing matters of faith and religious sentiments.
