Kamna Jethmalani was introduced to Tollywood by director Jaya. In a career spanning six to seven years, ‘Ranam’ opposite Gopichand was the only film which gave her any recognition.
Although she did play the female lead in EVV’s last movie, ‘Bendu Appa Rao’ which was quite successful, she could not make it to the top league.
Recently, Kamna disappeared off the radar only to surface with the news that she got married. Hence people are now surprised to see the news of a new bilingual film of hers ‘Chandrika’.
Being made in Kannada and Telugu, Chandrika appears to be a movie in the mode of ‘Chandramukhi’.
What remains unclear is whether this was a movie started before she got married or a movie which Kamna signed after marriage with her hubby’s permission. Known to be quite comfortable with skin show, has Kamna toned down for this movie?
