If there is one film that the Mega fans are eagerly waiting for other than ‘RRR’, it is definitely ‘Acharya’. This high-budget social drama which is written and being directed by Koratala Siva has been in the making from a really long time. Set in a fictional village named ‘Dharmasthali’, this film revolves around temples, corruption and even has a touch of Naxalism too. The posters and the first song which came out a few months back brought a lot of hype on this movie and people are eagerly waiting for the team to announce the release date.
Recently, the team released a photo of Chiru and Charan in a Naxalite outfit and stated that the major part of shooting has been wrapped up. With this announcement, people are hoping that it would hit the screens soon. While there was talk that it may release in January, the heavy competition from Pawan, Mahesh and Prabhas seems to have influenced the makers in preponing their plans. Sources claim that the film will be getting released in October and the official announcement will be made by the end of this month. Insiders are quite sure about this info but all we can do for now is to wait for the official news to come out.
On the other hand, the shooting of Chiru’s upcoming film ‘Lucifer’ remake has reportedly begun today. Mohan Raja is directing this film and a lot of big names are attached with this project. The makers are aiming to release this movie during the early months of 2022. Coming back to ‘Acharya’, Pooja Hegde will be seen as his romantic interest of Charan while Kajal is the heroine of Chiranjeevi. Sangeetha will give a special appearance and veteran composer Mani Sharma is working on the music. The film also includes noted actors like Sonu Sood and others playing crucial roles. Fans are eagerly waiting to see the father and son duo together on the big screen.
Koratala Siva who spent over three years on this project is all set to start his next film with NTR after ‘Acharya’. Chiranjeevi will also be working on ‘Vedalam’ remake which will be directed by Meher Ramesh.
