Suspended anaesthetist Dr K Sudhakar, who has been presently lodged in mental hospital in Visakhapatnam for treatment to his alleged mental disorder, has demanded that he be shifted to a better hospital for better treatment.
On Wednesday, Sudhakar wrote a letter to superintendent of mental hospital complaining that he was being given wrong medicines that are not required for him. He said the wrong medicines were affecting his health.
In his four-page hand-written letter, Sudhakar explained in detail how he was suspended from Narsipatnam hospital for demanding N-95 masks for doctors and how he was ill-treated by the police while he was on his way to Visakhapatnam on May 16.
According to Vizag police commissioner RK Meena Sudhakar was mentally disturbed and was in an inebriated condition when he created the nuisance.
The police tied his hands behind his back, beat him brutally, dragged on the road and dumped in a private auto to be taken to hospital.
The inhuman handling of the doctor by the police triggered nationwide protests.
