We all know that YSR Telangana Party President YS Sharmila had begun her ‘Praja Prasthanam’ padayatra (walkathon) from Chevella constituency in Ranga Reddy district, and will cover a distance of 4,000 km in 400 days.
Interestingly, TTD Trust Board chairman and close relative of CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, YV Subba Reddy met Sharmila in the Maheswaram constituency on Sunday. They spoke to each other for nearly an hour.
After Subba Reddy, now its Mangalagiri MLA Alla Rama Krishna Reddy, who participated in the ‘Mata-Muchata’ organized in Lemuru as part of the Sharmila Padayatra. Instead of sharing the stage with the YSRTP leader, he sat in the middle of the crowd and listened to Sharmila’s speech. After which, he joined in her Padayatra and walked with her.
The Praja Prasthanam Padayatra undertaken by Sharmila continued for six days on Monday for a distance of 14.6 km through Maheshwaram, Tummalur, Kandukur Mandal, Rachulurgetu, Lemuru and Thimmapuram suburbs. On the occasion, she said that 2 lakh government jobs in the state were not being filled despite the vacancies.
Sharmila recalled that during the five-year rule of the YSR, 64 lakh farmers had been given loan waivers of up to Rs 1 lakh at a time, free electricity to agriculture, input subsidy and cultivation turned into a festival. She said 8,000 farmers had committed suicide during the KCR seven-year rule.
