Modi favours Special status, but not now

AP Chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu has got an interesting reply from Prime minister Narendra Modi on special status to Andhra Pradesh during their meeting in New Delhi.

Naidu told his party MPs after meeting that Modi is very much interested to accept the long pending demand for special status to AP. But Modi is not ready to give it at the moment as many states have been demanding the same status and pending before the union government.

The TDP Chief said Modi was very much concerned about the injustice meted out to AP after the bifurcation of the state and assured to provide financial assistance fro the development of the state from time to timeIn the meeting, Naidu invited Modi to Krishna Pushkarams begins August 12 in his state. Naidu also met several union ministers and presented invitation letters to the pushkarams. –
