It appears like the time of Rahul Gandhi starting Bharat Jodo is not right. Forget about bringing the nation together, the grand old Congress party is not even able to stop the legislators from leaving the party and joining the saffron party Bharatiya Janata Party.
Days after starting the Bharat Jodo yatra, the Congress party saw eight MLAs leaving the party. Now the opposition party suffered another big blow as a key leader shifted his loyalties to BJP. The party faced the blow months ahead of the general elections in the state.
Going into detail, Harsh Mahajan, the chief of the Himachal Pradesh wing of Congress left the party. Not just that, he also accused the grand old party of having no direction in working. This is a big blow for the opposition party as he used to lead the party.
“The Congress is directionless. Neither there is a leader with experience nor any vision in Himachal Pradesh. The party’s manifestos are full of lies. What is left of the Congress on a national level?” Mahajan said after leaving BJP.
The Congress party is already dealing with the crisis-like situation in Rajasthan where it is in power. While the party kept itself busy bringing the situation under control. The party faced another big blow in Himachal Pradesh. With just two months left for the general elections, Congress now stands less chance of winning the polls. The party now wants a leader who can lead the party and the rest of the leaders should work under the next chief.
