Super Star Rajinikanth left his millions of fans and followers in a state of shock by announcing that he will not venture into electoral politics. He announced the same on his Twitter handle.
In the letter in the Tamil language, he has shared on the Miucrobloggingsite, Thalaivar cited his health condition for his decision to take a U-turn from electoral politics. He termed his health condition as a warning from God.
Many political experts and his colleagues like Universal Hero Kamal Haasan were disappointed with his decision, but they welcomed his decision as his health is more important than politics.
However, some fans are not happy with Rajinikanth’s decision to step back from politics and they are reportedly planning to stage a protest against his decision. The protest is expected to be conducted on the 10th of this month.
The proposed protest by fans has created a small side sensation in the state which forced Rajinikanth Makkal Mandram (RMM) South Chennai District Secretary Ravichandran urged the fans to not stage such protests
In the statement issued, he warned the fans to stage any protests and those who take part in protests are liable for disciplinary actions.
This is not the first time for fans to take such decisions. Earlier too a similar protest was staged outside his residence when he decided to not venture into politics. After which, he changed his decision and announce he would make a big announcement on his political party on the 31st of December.
Days before the big announcement, he announced that he would not venture into electoral politics as doctors advised him to take bed rest for a few days given his health condition.
The decision did not go well with some of his fans. A fan tried to end his life by setting himself on fire. The fan sustained severe injuries and was shifted to a nearby hospital.
