With the kind of terrific plots he has made for his silver screen escapades, none could really believe that creative director AR Murugadoss has lifted the story of his recent release ‘Kaththi’ from an aspiring assistant director. Unfortunately, this young Telugu guy has now accused the talented director of plagiarism as per Film Nagar reports.
Inching into 100 crore club, Vijay-Samantha starrer “Kaththi” is literally minting gold and smashing all existing rounds at box office. The film deals with socio-political issues and plight of farmers. According to reports, Kaththi is the same story narrated by a Telugu assistant director to Murugadoss as the Tamil director recently started producing low budgeted films with newer talents. After saying no to the story, the Ghajini fame filmmaker simply lifted that idea to weave his own, the assistant director accused.
We heard that Telugu Directors Association and Writers Association representatives have watched the film and a final call is yet to be made. In case if the plagiarism charges hold true, then Telugu release of Kaththi might get stalled. For now, November 14th or 21st is date for the Vijaya starrer to hit Telugu screens.
