Yesterday, popular Malayali actor, singer and mimicry artiste Kalabhavan Mani passed away at a hospital in Kochi, Kerala. Preliminary reports said that Mani, a heavy alcoholic, died due to liver cirrhosis after being treated for a long time. But here’s a new twist in the tale.
The Kochi police have registered a case of unnatural death in connection with Mani’s death after doctors who treated him in his final moments alerted them that excessive traces of methyl alcohol was noticed in his blood.
Cops also seized the house where Mani reportedly feel sick and was shifted to hospital. Ramakrishnan, Mani’s brother, had reportedly filed a complaint, after which the police began their investigation. Mani passed away even before the cops could record his statement.
Fans and film industry friends paid their last respects to the departed actor. His final rites were performed near his house at his hometown in Chalakkudy today.
