More than his acting endeavours, Nagarjuna always maintained his stature as a celebrated businessman. He has hotels, racing teams and shares in media houses. More than any of these, his Annapurna Studios is the major film business hub where production to post-production facilities simply rock.
In the wake of “Baahubali” being lauded for its international standards, even Nagarjuna is taking a lion’s share in this credit. No doubt, his Annapurna Studio’s color grading division (Digital Intermediate, it is technically called) has done a fantastic job in bringing the right tone for the epic war film.
Of course, the credit goes to colourist Shiva Kumar and Cinematographer Senthil, but no doubt the infrastructe needs to be terrific to come out with such outputs. For that we need to appreciate Nag.
Earlier the likes of Reliance, Mumbai and Prime Focus are popular for this international quality DI works, but now that everyone is asking where the color grading is done, Annapurna Studios is getting into spot light. In that way, this is free publicity for King Nagarjuna’s business, as their hard work paid off well.
