With the hopes of getting special status dashing off, AP chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu intensified fight against union government to get its due share.Naidu said the package of nearly Rs 1300 crore announced by centre is nominal and that it will not help to address the state’s financial crisis.
Babu demanded Prime Minister Modi government to announce special package for Andhra Pradesh on par Bhundelkhand was given. He wondered why the centre was not serious to fulfill all the promises made in the AP reorganization act.
Despite supreme Court directed to address the pending division of state higher eduction council but no action was taken towards this end. Centre is showing indifferent attitude towards the residury state of Andhra Pradesh, Naidu alleged.The chief minister said that lack of centre support to AP will land the state in more backwardness in future.
