Everything is normal and Andhra Pradesh and Telangana are headed for yet another confrontation. This time it is over the division of employees. CM Naidu has decided to request the Centre to divide the government employees between the two States on the basis of population rather than nativity.
“The assets between the two states were divided on the basis of population in the ratio of 58:42. However, the employees were divided on the basis of nativity. This has resulted in AP being burdened with excess staff. In Hyderabad there are 5000 employees from Telangana working for AP.
A uniform procedure should be followed. If division is made on the basis of population, they will be allotted to Telangana and AP which is facing a financial crisis will be spared the burden of paying for their salaries,” opined Naidu. Obviously, this proposal is not going to go down well with KCR for who wants another person’s burden?
