The famous Sri Sai Baba National (SSBN) college in Andhra Pradesh’s Anantapur has been in the news over the past few days with the protest from the college students and the alleged lathi-charge by the cops to stop the students from doing the protest. The issue got bigger with TDP general secretary Nara Lokesh stepping in.
Nara Lokesh Has extended his support to the students who are protesting against the privatisation of the college and said he is standing in solidarity with the students who are fighting for their college. He was royally received by the college students.
Speaking on the occasion, Nara Lokesh breathed fire on CM Jagan and asked why the cops had to use lathi-charge on the students that too on lady students. What right do the cops have to use force against them, he asked. Before the elections, Jagan walked with the students and now they were attacked by the cops, he said.
He came down on the Chief Minister and accused him of doing only destruction. Nara Lokesh alleged that the reason behind the Chief Minister focusing on the aided college is to sell the lands of the colleges as they go for big amounts in the open market.
Nara Lokesh said he doesn’t fear cases. Saying that 11 cases were filed against him already, he said if the government files one more case it will be 12 cases against him. We will fight for the students, Nara Lokesh added.
