One film which has created a lot of interest right from the posters is ‘Maamannan’. This movie had a very interesting star cast like Udayanidhi Stalin, Vadivelu, Fahadh Fasil and Keerthy Suresh. The film was released in Tamil Nadu on 29th June and it is running successfully in theatres. People are showering praises on the performance of seasoned actor Vadivelu. Written and directed by Mari Selvaraj, this movie is getting released in Telugu now.
The official announcement came a few days back and superstar Mahesh Babu and top director SS Rajamouli have launched the trailer of ‘Maamannan’ which is titled ‘Nayakudu’ in Telugu. Vadivelu and Udayanidhi Stalin will be seen as father and son in the movie. Vadivelu says, “I might be singing the same song, but I will sing it as long as I live. I shall rip my gut out, transform it into a lute and make its strings echo in every street. I will keep seeking the ears which want to hear the truth.”
Fahadh Fasil plays the antagonist role in this movie. He is showcased as a casteist and dictatorial politician. It is the story of a father and son fighting against injustice in society. Symbolism and the presence of animals play a vital role in showing the significance of a democratic world. Keerthy Suresh makes her presence felt in a supportive role. While Vadivelu dominates everyone with his acting skills, Udayanidhi Stalin is decent as well.
Maari Selvaraj made movies like ‘Pariyerum Perumal’ and ‘Karnan’ before. Suresh Productions and Asian Cinemas banner are distributing this film in Telugu. The film is backed by Udhayanidhi’s Red Giant movies. Theni Eswar is the cinematographer while Selva is the editor. Legendary AR Rahman composed the music for this movie. It is releasing in the Telugu language on 14th July.
