Prime Minister Narendra Modi did an aerial survey in cyclone-hit areas in his home state Gujarat. After the aerial survey, the Prime Minister allocated funds for his state. But this did not go well with NCP and Shiv Sena.
Taking a dig at PM for visiting his home state, NCP and Shiv Sena asked why can’t Modiji visit Maharashtra, which was also affected by the cyclone. Is he the Prime Minister for Gujarat alone, the parties asked?
Maharashtra minister and NCP’s national spokesperson Nawab Malik found fault with Narendra Modi conducting an aerial survey only in his home state, batting a bling eye towards Maharashtra. He questioned is this not discrimination towards Maharashtra.
“Today PM Modi ji is taking an ariel survey of #CycloneTauktae affected areas of Daman, Diu and Gujarat. Why not the same of the areas affected in #Maharashtra? Is this not clear cut discrimination?” he tweeted.
Shiv Sena leader, MP Sanjay Raut took a dig at PM Modi for not visiting Maharashtra. He said that the Prime Minister didn’t conduct an aerial survey in Maharashtra as the state has a strong Chief Minister, which is not the same with his home state Gujarat.
The Cyclone named Tauktae has created havoc across the states like Maharashtra, Gujarat, Goa. Several vehicles were damaged by the cyclone, while trees were uprooted in the severely affected districts.
