Boyapati Sreenu, who previously churned out a dud, Vinaya Vidheya Rama, is confident that his next film with Nandamuri Balakrishna will get his career back on track. He proposed to do the film on a budget of around Rs 70 crores prior to its commitment. The producer, Miryala Ravinder Reddy was sceptical about the budget at first but gave the green signal eventually and the shoot kick-started.
However, pause in shoot due to the lockdown and the subsequent financial crunch has led to a new budget cap for Boyapati Sreenu.
The mass director will now have to wrap up the film in under Rs 40-42 crores as per the producer’s latest demands. He will have to plan the schedules and the scale of action sequences and sets accordingly.
With uncertainty looming over the film industry, producers are not willing to spend crores on costly sets and massive action sequences. Boyapati will have to act according to the budget cap and scale down the project to the best of his capabilities.
We had previously reported that Amala Paul is in consideration for female lead role in the film. The shoot is likely to commence from September but only if the situation at the point in time permits. The teaser of this as-yet-untitled film got a great reception from Nandamuri fans.
