The Mega and Akkinenis are two of the most popular and powerful film families in Tollywood. The last time a Mega-Akkineni association happened on the s silver screen in a big way was way back in 1996, when Pawan Kalyan and Supriya made their debut in Akkadammayi Ikkadabbayi.
Now, if the ongoing buzz is anything to be believed, yet another Mega-Akkineni association is on the cards. Apparently, Akhil will be romancing the Mega girl Niharika Konidela in his second film. The buzz further says that the film will be directed by none other than SS Rajamouli’s son Kartikeya.
Even though the buzz seems to be highly superficial, one cannot rule out the possibilities since Akhil and Niharika have already worked together in a short film which was directed by Kartikeya. And if the film indeed materializes, no doubt that it will be the most awaited project in Tollywood.
