After scoring hat-trick of hits, director Anil Ravipudi set up an exciting multistarrer in his fourth attempt, F2 (Fun & Frustration). However, as per the latest reports, the director is left with only frustration and no fun, courtesy the two heroes of his film.
Sometime ago, both Venkatesh and Varun Tej reportedly gave their verbal consent to star in F2. Relieved to have got his two heroes, Anil Ravipudi shifted his focus to script polishing and planned to take the film onto floors in April. Now, with just a month left for the film to roll, he found himself in a frustrating position as neither of the heroes is ready to start the shooting.
Varun Tej plans to take his ambitious Space film, to be directed by ‘Ghazi’ fame Sankalp Reddy, onto floors in April/May. He has confirmed that he won’t think of nay other project until he is completely done with this Space film i.e. he will be available only in the second half of this year.
Venkatesh was supposed to wrap up a film in the direction of Teja by April, and next land on the sets of F2. But, Teja’s film kept getting delayed, it will go on floors on March 12. It will take at least three months for the completion of this film. Venkatesh has committed to work with Trivikram, and the project will go on floors in the second half of this year. Now, where is the space for doing Ravipudi’s F2?
If Anil Ravipudi can plan meticulously and utilize Venky’s dates properly, he can somehow squeeze his film in between Teja’s and Trivikram’s. But, convincing Varun Tej, who doesn’t show much interest in regular commercial films, especially after doing a path breaking Space film, and getting his dates is the most critical thing for him. Buzz is that Ravipudi is also looking out for a replacement for Varun Tej.
Overall, for now, there is no fun but only frustration for Ravipudi.
