No mall-going girls for my sons : Ex CM

Former Bihar chief minister Rabri Devi is in search of a bride for her two sons, and her definition of a ‘sanskari’ (well cultured) daughter-in-law has created a flutter on social media.

On the eve of her husband and RJD chief, Lalu Prasad Yadav’s 70th birthday celebrations at their residence, Rabri Devi talked to media. When asked upon when she would get her two sons married, she said she would prefer daughters-in-law just like her.

‘The girl should not go to cinema halls and shopping malls. She should be an expert in managing household works, respect elders and should be very religious. In short, she should be like me,’ the former Bihar CM reportedly said to a shocked media men.

Netizens comment that Rabri Devi is still stuck in the 1970s and hasn’t evolved yet. Some advised her to go outside and see how the modern woman look like. A few rebuked her for setting a bad example on how to curb freedom of woman.

By the way, Rabri Devi’s elder son Tej Pratap Yadav is the Bihar state health minister and her younger son Tejashwi Prasad Yadav is the Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar.
