Now, Rajnikanth To Grab A Chiranjeevi’s Title

Grabbing the titles of Megastar Chiranjeevi’s super hit films has become a fad in the recent times. While few of the stars who grabbed those titles of the super hits in the 80s and 90s have succeeded, few of them haven’t. Here is how the newest title grab might be like.

We have Bellamkonda Sai grabbing Chiranjeevi’s ‘Rakshasudu’ title for his thriller and the film did partially well at the box office. Of course, it is the first movie that got above average talk for the hero. Then we have Karthi coming up with the movie Khaidi, which is a roaring hit of sorts for the budgets involved. And the film impressed with its content too as Lokesh Kanagaraj leaves you speechless.

Then came Nani’s Gang Leader, a title he opted for as a tribute to Megastar Chiranjeevi. The Vikram K Kumar directorial has disappointed Nani’s fans as well as Mega fans too. And now that Superstar Rajnikanth’s next in Tamil, being directed by Siva of Veeram and Viswasam fame, got named as ‘Annatthe’ which means ‘Annayya’ in Telugu, one wonders if he will use the same title.

Chiranjeevi’s Annayya released in the year 2000 and scored well at the box office for its comedy and songs. Since that film, fans also fondly call Chiru as ‘Annayya’ only. We have to see if Rajnikanth opts for it or not, as sources in the know reveal that he will go for it.
