With the news of NTR making his debut on Television as the host of ‘Bigg Boss Telugu’ reality show has now become official, people have started wondering how much Star Maa might have shelled out to rope in the star hero for his first ever TV stint.
NTR’s exact remuneration for his stint as the host of Bigg Boss is yet uncertain but it is heard that he was offered a whopping amount, to the tune of double to what Megastar Chiranjeevi had charged to host the fourth season of MEK.
Star Maa is investing as much as Rs 50 crore on the first season of Bigg Boss Telugu. Spending such high amount on a TV show that lasts for just about 3 months is a new record in Telugu Television history, no prizes for guessing that lion’s share of this expenditure is NTR’s remuneration.
The telecast of first season will commence from mid-July on Star Maa, and prime slot on Saturday and Sunday is allocated for this reality show, which has already become a huge hit in Hindi belt. Star Maa management is confident that NTR’s star power will help Bigg Boss become popular in Telugu too.
Noted celebs from film, television, politics and sports fields will be roped in as contestants on Bigg Boss. The surprising part here is that the contestants have not yet been selected despite only less than a month is left for the commencement of the show.
