Bollywood star hero Akshay Kumar is in need of a big hit right now. All his recent movies including ‘Bell Bottom’, ‘Prithviraj’, ‘Selfiee’, ‘Ram Sethu’, ‘Culputli’, Raksha Bandhan’, ‘Bachchan Pandey’ and others turned out to be disasters. He is arriving with ‘Oh My God 2’ on 11th August and the senior star pinned high hopes on this movie. Amidst a lot of controversy and drama due to censor cuts and protests from Hindu organizations, the movie’s makers have released the trailer.
Akshay Kumar who played the role of lord Krishna in the first part has become lord Shiva for ‘OMG 2’. His makeup and acting is exceptional as usual but it is Pankaj Tripathi who steals the show. Life is bliss until one day Kanti Sharan Mudgal’s son Vivek is blamed for immoral conduct and expelled from school. Overwhelmed, Kanti plans to leave town until a divine intervention leads him to seek justice by taking those responsible to court.
Just like Paresh Rawal in the first film, Pankaj Tripathi does all the heavy lifting this time. His simple acting is great to watch and the court scenes are expected to be very thought-provoking as well as meaningful in this film. Also, Yami Gautham will be seen as the opposition lawyer in the movie while there is a good supporting cast too. The visuals look good and the movie’s result solely depends on the writing and direction as the performances are surely going to be great.
Directed by Amit Rai, this movie is produced under Cape Of Good Films, Viacom 18 Studios banners. Amit Rai penned the story, screenplay and dialogues as well while Amalendu Chaudhary is the director of photography. Let us wait and see how big this movie becomes if it succeeds to generate a positive buzz.
