There has been unanimous disappointment over the new union budget introduced by the Finance Minister Nirmala Seetharaman.
No sector is completely happy with this budget. Above all the Telugu states are in utter disappointment for not allocating basic funds. The Modi government has shown its indifference to the Telugu states.
When there are only two years left to implement the promises of bifurcation, how can Andhra Pradesh find justice in this scenario is the big question now.
It is surprising to notice YS Jagan Mohan Reddy not speaking out anything about Nirmala Seetaraman’s budget. On the other hand Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao blasted the union budget in his way with all reasonable pointers.
If not in the degree of how KCR criticised, YS Jagan would have at least expressed his disappointment for not extending any aid to AP.
Chandrababu, being an opposition party leader, expressed his disappointment on Union Budget 2022 for not granting anything specific for AP.
On behalf of YSRCP only Vijaysai Reddy, the MP and State Finance Minister Buggana Rajendranath responded and expressed their disappointment. But CM Jagan Mohan Reddy is silent.
If not now, when can the Chief Minister raise his voice against the Center. No promises were fulfilled so far by the Center. There is no topic of Polavaram project. There is no mention of the promises at the time of bifurcation.
Maintaining silence towards injustice is a crime. The elected Chief Minister should resonate with the feelings of his people. If there is any strategy or hesitation for this silence, then at least that should be conveyed.
