After a lot of dilly dallying, they choose a release date without clashing with cricket matches, elections and of course big ticket films. But the three films of today’s release could not escape Intermediate board exams.
Every Friday release gets a decent number of audience only through students and when they were busy preparing for their annual examinations, it sure will become a curse for new releases. There might be a noticeable change in numbers at box office and today’s releases have to suffer this for another weekend as well, because the last exam is on 19th of this month.
All the three movies releasing today have the full gang of struggles and they are desperate for a proper commercial success since a long time. Audience almost forgot Shraddha Das and now she pinned her hopes on Guntur Talkies. So is the need for Rashmi to change her tag to actress from anchor. Awards apart, Praveen Sattaru too needs a hit badly.
Manchu Manoj had a list of disasters and now is betting big on thriller Shourya, so is director Dasarath who got a hit with Mr Perfect back in ages. Nandini Reddy had to take a long gap after her Jabardasth colossal flop and a good delay for release of her Kalyana Vaibhogame, now she has to get one. Naga Shourya too wants a hit, because a new failure questions his existence here.
While many of Tollywood young heroes are using any of Pawan Kalyan’s content in their films to please the power star fans, the Gabbar Singh star is set to enthrall his as well as megastar Chiranjeevi’s fans by dancing on remix version of the latter’s super hit mass song.
Yes, as per reliable sources, Pawan Kalyan will be seen dancing on remix of Chiranjeevi’s mass song ‘Naa Koka Bagunda’ (Kondaveeti Raja) in his latest flick Sardaar Gabbar Singh. It is also learnt that, Raai Lakshmi will be seen sizzling opposite Pawan Kalyan in the song.
This will be first time, Pawan Kalyan dancing on Chiru’s song. It may be recalled that, Chiranjeevi visited Sardaar shooting spot in Hyderabad few days ago and the mega brothers had splendid time on the sets.
Devi Sri Prasad is scoring music for Sardaar and fortunately all the films the ace composer associated with Pawan Kalyan such as Jalsa, Gabbar Singh and Attarintiki Daredi were huge hits. The duo is expected to recreate the magic with Sardaar Gabbar Singh that will have audio release on March 20th and theatrical release on April 8th.
Kapu Leader Mudragada Padmanabham launched a staggering attack on TDP Government on Friday. He threatened to go on an indefinite fast from March 11th if State Government doesn’t fulfill promises given to him by 10th of this Month.
Speaking to media, Mudragada accused TDP Government of tapping his phone and trying to divert the Kapu reservation issue by spreading baseless speculations. On the accusations of Jagan’s involvement in Kapu agitation, He clarified, ‘No truth in the reports that Jagan is behind Me and He is the one who provoked Me.
Why Jagan’s name is being dragged every now and then? My Political Experience is far more than his age. Jagan don’t have the stature/knowledge to pen a letter to me’. Mudragada dared to take political sanyas if Chandrababu Naidu is able to prove Jagan is his driving force.
He told, ‘Naidu was reluctant to speak with Me when I called off the fast. At that time, I contacted Jagan to thank for his support’. The Former Minister claimed Ex-Chief Minister late YS Rajasekhar Reddy was always affectionate and promised to stand by his side whenever he is in trouble.
On Land Pooling of Amaravati, Mudragada said farmers of AP Capital have already been regretting and also questioned, ‘Does a Capital require 33,000 acres?’.
The wedding season for Indian cricketers is continuing. Yesterday, two young Indian cricketers tied knot with their sweethearts. While Uthappa got married to tennis player Sheethal Goutham in traditional Christian manner, Dhawal Kulkarni tied the nuptial knot with a fashion coordinator Shradha Kharpude in a traditional Marathi way.
Irfan Pathan and Bollywood actress Juhi Chawla attended Uthappa’s wedding ceremony. Irfan shared a picture of him with the groom and wrote, “My brother @robbieuthappa wis u a great married life.may u always keep laughing the way u do #robinsheethal.”
Juhi is the co-owner of IPL franchise Kolkata Knight Riders franchise for which Robin plays. The actress posted two photographs of the couple and congratulated them. “Robin uthappa and Sheetal .. Now man and wife …!!congratulatttiioonnss …!!” she captioned the picture.
Uthappa had proposed Sheethal while on a holiday during Diwali last year. Sheethal is on the ITF pro-circuit. Meanwhile, the other newlywed couple Dhawal Kulkarni and Shradha had met four years ago through a common friend, as per media reports.
Only family members and close friends have attended the wedding ceremony. Team India opener Rohit Sharma took to Twitter to congratulate his Mumbai team-mate Kulkarni. “Wishing my buddy @dhawal_kulkarni and Shraddha a very happy married life! My FaceTime presence was felt,” wrote Rohit.

Dasaradh who is known for making family entertainers like Santosham and Mr. Perfect tried his hand at thriller genre with Shourya. This had a good point but the director failed to get it right with the screenplay and execution.
Story :
Shourya (Manoj) and Netra (Regina) fall in love and decide to get married. But one night someone slices Netra’s throat and police takes Shourya in to custody as the prime suspect. A police officer (Prakash Raj) believes Shourya is innocent, but Shourya admits that he has killed Netra as she cheated him. What happened between the couple and what led to Shourya taking such hasty action?
Performances:
Manchu Manoj delivered a fine performance, but is on the weightier side. His performance in the penultimate scenes is good. Regina is beautiful. She did a decent job as Netra. Prakash Raj is impressive as the sincere cop. Prabhas Sreenu shines here and there. Brahmanandam’s cameo is wasted. Subbaraju and others have did their bit.
Technicalities:
Dasaradh tried to offer something new for the audience. His intentions are commendable but should have taken care of the script to make it a gripping thriller. There are few instances where the movie strikes a chord, but the director failed to maintain the tempo that is much needed for a thriller.
Music is mediocre and the songs are shot poorly. Dialogues are just okay. Editing is pretty bad. Movies like these need slick and sharp editing. Cinematography is average.
Thumbs Up:
Thumbs Down:
Analysis:
Shourya has an interesting premise and opens with an intriguing monologue saying that every story has three sides to it. The film will catch your attention right at that point and prepares you for a thrilling ride. However the proceedings are anything but thrilling. Movie moves at a snail pace with some absolutely pointless scenes that takes the plot nowhere.
Love story between the lead pair is boring and makes you fall asleep. Things get interesting only at the interval scene where the hero reveals that he has killed the heroine. We expect the film to put us on the edge of the seat after that point, but Dasaradh once again takes a relaxing approach that doesn’t let the film grow on you.
Only the last confrontation of Prakash Raj and Manoj packs a punch, but it is too late by then. Shourya could have been a very good thriller as the plot is interesting. It takes a nosedive because of poor screenplay. In the end we only wish the movie is as interesting as its trailer.
Verdict: Sleep inducing Thriller.

Powerstar Pawan Kalyan’s Sardaar Gabbar Singh is in its last leg of its shoot. The makers are leaving no stone unturned to make the film reach the expectations of the fans. It is emerging that the audio launch event of the film will take place on March 20th. An official confirmation about this is awaited.
The makers have already announced their plans of releasing on April 8th as Ugadi Special. The hype and expectations on the film are skyrocketing as the release date is nearing. Kajal Aggarwal is romancing Pawan Kalyan for the first time in this film. The movie is a hot cake in trade and it is witnessing never before offers from trade.
According to the current trend, the pre-release business of the movie is going towards 80-90 Crore excluding the satellite rights which means Eros International, the film rights holder will end up with huge table profit. Power fame Bobby is wielding megaphone for this film. Devi Sri Prasad is the music composer.
Story:
Shourya (Naga Shourya) and Divya (Malavika Nair) are averse to marriage and they have their own reasons for that. Shourya is a free-spirited lad and Divya is an independent girl who expects her husband not be regressive like her father who ill-treats her mother. When they meet the first time in their ‘Pelli Chopulu’, they reveal their aversion to marriage. They devise a strategy and get married. What happens in their lives later is the rest of the film.
Analysis:
Kalyana Vaibhogame story is not any thing new but Nandini Reddy tried to unearth the sweet and simple moments in the life of a couple. The treatment gives a very good feel to those in love and those who got married recently. Nandini Reddy some how seem to be struggling to come out of the Ala Modhalaindhi hangover. Audience can not miss seeing Nani in Shourya and Nitya Menen in Malavika Nair.
They really performed well but to be honest could not come close to Ala Modhalaindhi pair. More than the lead pair, it is the supporting cast who makes an everlasting impact on us. There are several actors in the film. Even the ones with little roles – Be it Paavala Shyamala, Raj Madiraju or the unexpected cameo by Aashish Vidyarthi, all of them will excelled in the film.
Nandini Reddy definitely has a winner in hand but if she had taken a bit more care on the second half, the film would have gone to the next level. The confusion climax and Thagubothu Ramesh in the climax once again reminds us of Ala Modhalaindhi.
Technical Performances:
Music is a big asset for Ala Modhalaindhi. Rom-Coms like Kalyana Vaibhogame need the support of good music but tracks of Kalyana Vaibhogame are pretty average. The back ground score is decent. Satyanarayana Raju’s cinematography is good. Editing by Junaid Siddiqui is not adequate. A good 10 minutes can be chopped easily from the film. Production Values of Sri Ranjith Movies are Top Notch.
Plus Points :
1. Good Family Emotions
2. Chemistry between Naga Shourya and Malavika Nair
3. Comeback by Raasi
Minus Points:
1. Average Music
2. Resemblances to Ala Modhalaindhi.
Final Say:
Despite resemblances to Ala Modhalaindhi and some discrepancies here and there due to lengthy run time, Nandini Reddy managed to make out a largely good product. She managed to stir the emotions very well since start to the end so that the urbane audience will connect.
Suddenly, the AP politics have become too inconsistent and nimble. TV channel crews are neck deep busy covering these defections and the latest Amaravati land scam. Channels have been buzzing nonstop with press meets, counter press meets, allegations and clarifications between the opposition and ruling party leaders.
In one such press meet, TDP minister Peethala Sujatha was left in shock and humiliation when the media personnel quit her press meet abruptly as they came to know that late CM YSR’s personal bodyguard Sureedu entered the CM’s Camp Office premises and was waiting to meet Chandrababu yesterday.
When Sujatha called for a press meet to counter Roja’s allegations on land scam, nearly 50 media personnel attended the meeting and more than 20 cameras were rolling. Suddenly, a journalist was tipped about Sureedu’s entry. Soon, the entire media hungama was shifted from Sujatha to Sureedu. Utterly humiliated by this sudden shock, Sujatha had to cancel her press meet in the middle.
People who did not find all the fun in faming a best movie or a best actor with an award on a glittery night, have brought up an award ceremony called ‘Golden Kela Awards’ only to shame worst movies and disaster performers each year in Bollywood. Like every year, the Golden Kela awards will be announced this year and the list of nominees for these awards is already out.
What caught everyone’s attention is that two superstar movies are in a big clash for worst movie 2015 award. As you can anticipate, they are Salman Khan’s Prem Ratan Dhan Payo and Shah Rukh Khan’s Dilwale.
Though both these movies collected big at box office, they could not win audience applause for their pale plots and pathetic performances. Shah Rukh – Kajal’s romantic magic could not help Dilwale and Salman’s double role in Prem Ratan Dhan Paayo turned an Olympic patience tester.
Along with these superstar movies, Arjun Kapoor’s Tevar and Akshay Kumar’s Singh is Bling too were nominated for worst movie category. And in the worst actors nominations, Arjun Kapoor (Tevar) and his cousin Sonam Kapoor (Prem Ratan Dhan Paayo) are far ahead from others.
Arjun Rampal (Roy), Sooraj Pancholi (Hero), Imran Khan (Katti Batti) were also nominated for Worst actors category. Heroines Sonakshi Sinha (Tevar), Shraddha Kapoor (ABCD2) and Amy Jackson (Singh is Bling) are contending for Worst actress category.
The voting stay open till this month end at Goldkela website and your vote can better the chances for them to win a kela award!
Grapevine had it that, stylish star Allu Arjun will star in Telugu remake of Tamil sleeper hit movie Kanithan. However, latest reports inform that, it is Ravi Teja who is going to act in the Telugu version to be directed by TN Santosh who helmed the original version.
According to the grapevine, director TN Santosh has narrated the film’s story to Ravi Teja. The mass maharaja is said to have expressed his interest on doing this film in Telugu. However, he suggested few changes to the script to suit sensibilities of Telugu spectators.
Talks are in initial stages and things will be firmed up in next few days. Post Bengal Tiger release, Ravi Teja has signed few new films and is listening to stories, but he hasn’t started any project yet.
If things go well, Kanithan Telugu remake would be launched early next year, since Ravi Teja’s call sheet diary is full for the year.
Kanithan is an action thriller film that has been raved critically as well as commercially. Atharvaa and Catherine Tresa played lead roles in the film which revolves around a fake educational certificate scam.
