Days have changed and audience prefer to watch films with granduer, graphics and thrilling content mostly, than to watch films that teach ethics in the end. But few films are able to give a message and been getting into minds of audience. One such film in recent past is Srimanthudu with a plot revolving around Village adoption.

It must be an overwhelming news for Mahesh babu fans, as the movie Srimanthudu is included as a lesson for students of 10th class in their syllabus on the concept of village adoption system. Koratala Siva directed the movie as a commercial entertainer with much needed message in it. The movie collected big and stood in the second place after Baahubali in highest collections.

Finding a place in record books is a proud moment for an actor and his filmmaker, but a place in text book means much more than that! Akhil Akkineni might be just one-movie old. Yet it didn’t deter him bagging a rare honour. Akhil will be featured on popular international magazine GQ soon. It’s learnt that it will be 10-page feature story of Akhil with his candid interview, profile shoot.

Apparently, no Telugu star has been featured on GQ magazine so far. This is said to be first of its kind. Akhil and his team is naturally elated and excited. Akhil & co will be flying to Abu Dhabi on Thursday and it’s going to be 3-day stay there and they’ll be returned by Monday.

Already Akhil shot to fame with a slew of brand endorsements which are quite popular. Once he returns, Akhil will be focusing on his second film which is touted to be the Telugu remake of Hindi blockbuster Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani. The film, an out and out entertainer, is expected to go onto floors in the end of April or the early May.

Of late, the release dates of big ticket films have become quite tricky with several films locking horns to grab release dates months in advance. Mega fans are worried about the impending clash between Pawan and his nephews Sai Dharam Tej and Allu Arjun and niece Niharika.

Incidentally, the upcoming films of all these Mega family stars are set for a release in April. While Sai’s Supreme is hitting the screens on 1st April, Sardaar is set for an 8th April release, just a week after Supreme’s release.

Then comes Niharika’s debut film Oka Manasu, which is tentatively poised for an April third week release. Finally, Allu Arjun’s Sarrainodu joins this Mega clash as the film is said to be releasing on the 22nd April.

All the films are dependent on each other in terms of box-office collections, while Pawan’s Sardaar has the clear edge of them all. We will have to wait until April to see if any of these films will back out in the last minute or head for a box-office clash.

Whenever the members of the film fraternity are interacting with the media they give out loud statements stressing on the harmony and relation they have. But beneath that, there is always a practical perspective with the final objective of helping each other out.

Of course, not all have that intent. Among the few good men, natural star Nani has his name. He is currently in peak form with back to back hits. He has now announced his next with Indraganti Mohanakrishna.

As such, Indraganti is going through a rough patch owing to consecutive failures at the box office. Point is, if both hero and director are going through bad phase, the film won’t work but if either one of them is in peak form then there is a good chance for the film to work.

Hence Nani is now giving chance to Indraganti so that his graph can be lifted. In the past, Indraganti gave the important break to Nani through his film ‘Ashta Chemma’.

If the inside buzz in the Film Nagar circles is to be believed, the City Civil Court issued notices to the makers of Superstar Mahesh Babu’s blockbuster film, Srimantudu. The notices have been sent to the film’s director Koratala Siva, producers at Mythri Movie Makers Naveen Yerneni, Ravi Shankar and CV Mohan and even the Bollywood star Hrithik Roshan who will star in the film’s Hindi remake.

The City Civil Court apparently issued notices to the film’s unit following a petition filed by a writer named Sarath Chandra who alleged that the makers plagiarized his Chachentha Prema novel which was published in a leading Telugu weekly magazine in 2012.

Apparently, the case has been scheduled for a hearing on March 4. After the film became a blockbuster, Sarath Chandra came out in open and approached media and claimed that Srimanthudu’s story has striking similarities with his novel Chachentha Prema which had the backdrop of Veligodu project.

Sarath even lodged a complaint against Koratala Siva at the Telugu Film Writer’s Association. Let’s wait to hear the makers’ version about this case and allegations.
