AP’s GDP Growth Rate Higher Than India’s
During and after the state division, Andhra Pradesh was left with no surplus budget and the states economic resources were poor as compared to the newly formed Telangana state.
However, things changed drastically under AP CM Nara Chandrababu Naidu’s resign and now, as per the official reports released by the ruling party, Andhra Pradesh is on a fast track move in terms of development and the state’s GDP growth rate has now surpassed the entire country’s growth rate in GDP.
The reports stated to AP recorded a GDP growth rate of 9.72% as against the country’s overall GDP growth rate of 7.1% in the financial years first quarter. This achievement, as the party’s sources claim, is through Chandrababu’s relentless efforts in accelerating developmental reforms which placed the state on the progressive track once again.
The numbers published in the party reports for the first financial quarter are as follows, Agriculture (12.52%), Industries (7.19%), Services (10.15%), Animal Husbandry (11.29%) and Fisheries (11.24%). With the ambitious developmental plans in various sectors in Amaravati and across the state, the Chief Minister is hell-bent on placing Andhra Pradesh on the global map in the coming few years.
Nandamuri Hero In FNCC Elections
Nandamuri Taraka Ratna is going through toughest phase in his career. His last film Bhaktha Siriyala released last year to disaster result. Since then, he didn’t commit any new project. Now, Taraka Ratna has decided to take up another profession. The Nandamuri hero is contesting for the post of Vice President at The Film Nagar Cultural Center (FNCC).
Meanwhile, the FNCC elections will take place on September 20th. Taraka Ratna is interested in politics like others in Nandamuri family. He campaigned for Telugu Desam Party in the last elections and lent his support for Chandrababu Naidu’s headship. Moreover, he attacked cousin Jr NTR for keeping away from poll campaigning and supported uncle Balakrishna.
Now, Taraka Ratna is contesting in FNCC elections. Srimitra group Chairman MV Chowdary is in race for President post, while Yalamanchili Suresh is for secretary, A.Jithendra Reddy (Chinna) is for Joint secretary and Shivaji Raja is for treasurer post. All these are against the supremacy of current chiefs KS Ramarao and KL Narayana who suspended 40 members from the panel.
Mahesh Takes Teja’s Comments Lightly
Superstar Mahesh Babu is basking on the success of Srimanthudu. The Koratala Siva directorial provided much needed break for him after two consecutive flops. More than anything else, the film with good message has inspired many to take part in development of their own villages.
Surprisingly, except Ram Charan, no one in the industry congratulated Mahesh Babu on the success of Srimanthudu, as revealed by the superstar. Good to see, one star hero from industry appreciating the other star. Reacting to director Teja’s remarks of ‘industry people charity works is to enjoy deduction in income tax’, Mahesh Babu affirmed, “I don’t want to give it too much importance.
I don’t know what Teja exactly meant, but it’s okay.” In fact, Mahesh won’t give importance for other’s comments. He takes them lightly. Mahesh knows what exactly he is doing. Not just single village, he is adopting one from Andhra Pradesh (Burripalem) and other from Telangana (a backward village from Mahabubnagar district). If he really is adopting village for tax reduction, he would have not have taken up project in Telangana.
Likewise, Mahesh Babu took part in many charity events earlier to aid deprived. He is goodwill ambassador for Rainbow Hospital that is helping out poor ailing children. On film front, Mahesh Babu will soon join Brahmotsavam shooting. The film to be directed by Srikanth Addala will go on floors in next week.
Marriage will be decided by destiny – Kajal Agarwal
Kajal Agarwal’s career was not happening in Telugu for quite some time now. However it received sudden push with she being selected for Mahesh Babu’s Brahmotsavam and Pawan Kalyan’s Sardaar Gabbar Singh.
In one of the recent interviews, Kajal was asked if she was thinking of getting married after watching her sister Nisha living happily after marriage. For that, Kajal answered that she will not take decisions influenced by others and added her marriage will happen according to destiny.
The actress also said that she never left Tollywood but got a little gap since she was busy with Tamil and Hindi films. Lets see if she becomes busy post these two films release!
Hora Hori gets trimmed!
Director Teja’s latest offering, Hora Hori had opened to disastrous openings and reviews from all the territories of Telugu States. The movie failed to even draw minimum crowds even in the weekends indicating the extent of the failure.
So the makers have decided to trim 15 minutes from the movie to make it more racy. The edits are already made to the movie in theaters. The makers hope that the collections and talk will improve with this changes.
Teja had come up with all Telangana crew, a first ever feat in Telugu Cinema for this film. He reportedly hired close to 100 cast and crew members belonging to the newly formed Telangana Film Employees Federation. Kalyani Koduri had composed music for the movie.
Baahubali international business begins!
SS Rajamouli’s magnum opus film, Baahubali had amassed over 600 Crore gross in the country and is now heading towards international terrains. Vincent Taballion of “Taken 2”,” Incredible Hulk” and “Transporter 2” fame had finished preparing the international cut of the film.
Shobu hinted about the opening of international business by tweeting, “Loving discussing/negotiating with buyers’ from major territories around the world. Stark cultural differences in how they work”.
The international cut will be very soon screened in Tornoto Film Festival and Busan International Film Festival. Lets hope the movie will create wonders at international box office and keep the Telugu spirits soaring!
Opposition to boycott Talasani in Assembly!
Telugu Desam Party is planning to humiliate Talasani Srinivas Yadav in the upcoming assembly session. Talasani who was elected on TDP ticket is now illegally enjoy ministry in KCR’s cabinet. TDP decided to stage a walk out whenever Talasani rose to speak in assembly.
They also decided that they should not ask him any questions even related to his portfolio. Congress is also likely to adopt same strategy. Both TDP and Congress are pressing for Talasani’s disqualification for a long time.
But Telangana CM KCR is strategically delaying it through Speaker and Governor as he do not want to face a by-election is settlers majority Sanathnagar constituency. This issue is likely to take center-stage in the next assembly session.

Jagan lures student support for Special Status Deeksha!
YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, the leader of opposition in Andhra Pradesh is sitting for an indefinite fast demanding Special Status to the state from 26th of this month. Jagan and his party had taken this deeksha very seriously and wants to connect with people with this issue as much as possible.
YSR Congress is organizing student meetings in all the districts of Andhra Pradesh before this deeksha and try to lure their support to the cause and his attempt. Jagan is of the opinion that the agitation will work out big time if students participate.
The first meeting will happen in Tirupati, Jagan will be personally attending it. He pressed the students wing of YSR Congress to action to mobilize students for this meeting. We will have to see if Jagan’s ploy works out!

Puri can’t resist sharing nude pic of a girl
Nudity is one thing which is always in controversy. It depends on one’s perception whether they see it as indecent as something very artistic. Director Puri Jagannadh shared a picture of a girl on a beach who is lying on her bosom exposing her nude backside.
The shadow of a palm tree’s leaves painted a beautiful natural ‘light and shade’ pattern on the girl’s back. For which Puri says he couldn’t resist sharing the picture. Whether it’s for the photography or for the nude girl is a different question as one says ‘Beauty lies in the beholder’s eye’.
YVS Chowdary to comeback with new comers!
YVS Chowdary’s recent release, Rey starring Sai Dharam Tej not only affected his career as director but also hit his finances hard as the producer of the film. However YVS is not dejected and is gearing up to try his luck once again.
His next film will be with new comers and will go on floors very soon. The movie is titled Oka Local Prema Katha and will happen in the backdrop of a local train. Currently the pre-production works and the casting is going on.
Official announcement of the project is expected this month. This will be a litmus test for YVS Chowdary as a failure if failed will permanently seal the career of the director who is once very successful. Lets wish him all the best!
