Young hero Nani is back with a bang. His latest outing Bhale Bhale Magadivoy released yesterday to packed houses everywhere. In fact, extra theaters will be added from today with the unanimous positive talk. The Maruthi directorial made on decent budget is expected to provide enormous profits for producers as well as distributors.

Bhale Bhale Magadivoy created single theatre (Sandhya 70 MM) day 1 record with 2,87,164 gross. As per Trade analysts, the film is strong in urban areas. Unlike Maruthi’s earlier films, BBM opened grandly in overseas, taking a $70K premiere gross which is a huge number for a medium budget flick. The romantic comedy collects $225k on day one and expected to reach $600k in 1st weekend. So, US distributor who bought the film for a smaller amount will enter profit zone by the weekend.

Bhale Bhale Magadivoy is Nani’s show all the way. Heroine Lavanya Tripathi appeared gorgeous in traditional as well as modern outfits. Gopi Sunder’s music is biggest asset, while Nizar Shafi’s cinematography is incomparable. Congrats to the entire team of BBM for the blockbuster success!

Some directors are like that. They will deliver mega hits with particular heroes but fail to deliver similar stunners with others. Say it just a coincidence or difference in working style, that’s what happening all the time.

Take the case of Surender Reddy. When he delivered a hit film like Kick, immediately Jr NTR roped him in for Oosaravelli. Though their previous film Ashok is a disaster, NTR believed in Suri, but tasted only another disaster.

And then, the same director scored a mind blowing mega blockbuster with Race Gurram which has Allu Arjun in the lead. Later now, he delivered Kick 2, a flop yet again, for producer Nandamuri Kalyan Ram and hero Raviteja.

Without worrying about this result, Ram Charan has now decided to work for his 10th film with Surender Reddy, if we have to believe reports. So, analysts are now counting another hit for this mega family by looking at the previous happening.

Bollywood music director Aadesh Shrivastava is no more. He passed away at the age of 49, a day after his birthday and his last film as music composer Welcome back hit screens. Aadesh was admitted to Kokliben hospital 45 days back.

Aadesh was suffering from cancer and been diagnosed in 2010. Chemotherapy helped him for five years, but he succumbed to it when it relapsed for the third time, leaving him critically ill. Doctors had given up on him, as he stopped responding to medicines and injections from few days. His very good friend Anubhav Sinha was heartbroken on hearing the news of Aadesh’s demise.

Aadesh has been one of the key judges on Sa Re Ga Ma Pa show and famous for his music compositions of Chalte Chalte, Baghban and others. Aadesh fought against cancer and finally lost to it post midnight September 5.

SS Rajamouli has donned new feather to his hat – movie reviewer. The most sought after director unleashed a new angle within himself as he penned a short review of actor Nani’s latest offing Bhale Bhale Magadivoi. Heaping praises on the film, Rajamouli called the movie as an ‘outright funny’ and stated that Nani stole the show with an ‘author backed role’.

What’s more? Rajamouli who is usually reticent and not so vocal when it comes to heroines, gone ahead this time and dubbed ‘Andala Rakshasi’ girl Lavanya as ‘equally adorable’. Congratulating the team, Rajamouli declared the movie as a successful venture even before all the four shows of the movie of day one were showcased!

Taking to his social networking page, Rajamouli wrote, ‘Bhale Bhale Magadivoi is out right funny. With an author backed role Nani stole the show with his performance. Equally adorable is lavanya. Personally there are so many incidents in the entire film where I was watching myself instead of Nani… (smile emoticon) Congrats to the whole team. Well deserved success!’

Meanwhile, grapevine is that Rajamouli would be teaming up with Nani again and this could possible be behind his raining praises on the Eega star.

Superstar Mahesh Babu’s Srimanthudu is already second highest grosser in Tollywood raking 154 crore gross for 25 days. The family entertainer with social subject will be now remade in Hindi with Bollywood star Salman Khan playing lead role, if reliable sources are to be believed.

Negotiations are on for the remake rights and if the deal finalizes, Salman Khan will co-produce the movie in association with Eros International. In fact, Eros released Srimanthudu worldwide and they want to remake the film in Bollywood also.

When they approached Salman with the proposal, the actor has shown interest to invest in the project. If things go well, Srimanthudu remake will go on floors sometime in 2016. It is yet to be known who will direct the film that was helmed by Koratala Siva in Telugu.

Interim, Salman is shooting for Prem Ratan Dhan Payo. The actor will next star in Kick sequel. His second production Hero starring Sooraj Pancholi and Athiya Shetty is hitting screens next week. Salman who has special interest in Telugu films, is now in talks for Srimanthudu remake.

King Nagarjuna is introducing actor Srikanth’s son, Roshan on his Annapurna Studios banner. The movie is titled ‘Nirmala Convent’ and Nagarjuna will be seen in a little cameo in the movie.

Nagarjuna is excited about this project and says he will encouraging more young talent on his Annapurna Studios banner. The movie is reportedly a fresh love story and the shooting is going on at full swing.

Srikanth has no proper hit after Khadgam many years ago. All his movies come and go with out even the audience noticing them. He desperately wants to see his son succeeding at this hour of crisis.

Dussehra, the second biggest festival season for Telugu Cinema is fast approaching but still there is no clarity over the release dates of the biggies – Akhil and Bruce Lee lined up for the season.

Sources in Bruce Lee unit says that they can not come on the earlier announced October 16th and may encroach Akhil’s release date on October 21st. In such case, Akhil may be advanced to October 16th to avoid clash.

Both the movie teams are adopting wait and see policy to finalize their release dates. The clarity in this aspect may emerge only after their respective audio launch events. Lets see how things pan out finally!

What happens when hardcore fans of film stars end up as directors in film industry? No doubt they will show that fan-love all over their movies. Guys like Harish Shankar (Pawan Kalyan fan) and YVS Chowdary (NTR fan) always show that touch in their films. Here is another one joining this gang.

Director Maruthi has always been a Megastar Chiranjeevi fan and that’s what gets reflected in his films. That too with a film like Bhale Bhale Magadivoyi that has Geetha Arts in the producers seat, Maruthi used loads of Mega references on Nani.

Also he used songs and scenes from Shankardada MBBS, then couple of songs from Pawan Kalyan’s films too. This mega love could be felt in the whole script as Nani emulates scenes from Chiru’s films.

It’s okay to show such mega love in this camp, but what happens if Maruthi has to direct someone from other contemporary groups? Fanism is not universal for now. Think about it Maruthi.

Films with good content will have scope for a wider release. In current situations, it is tough for a film to score 100 days. However, star heroes films with positive talk are being screened for 100 days at least in limited theaters, only to please fans.

Ace director SS Rajamouli recently stated that record number of 50 days, 100 days,175 days are things of past. Interim, Baahubali is still running in decent number of theaters in its 9th week not just in Telugu states, but also in other territories. It is indeed not because of fans obligation, audience liking for the film hasn’t ended yet.

Despite big arrivals like Vishal’s Paayum Puli (Jayasurya in Telugu) and Ashok Selvan’s Savaale Samaali in Tamil Nadu, Baahubali is still being screened in most of the multiplexes in Chennai city. As per trade sources, Baahubali’s dream run will continue for few more days in the city.

The film has turned big headache for Tamil stars. Despite presence of Tamil films, multiplex audiences are showing interest to watch Baahubali. The Prabhas and Rana starrer film grossed over Rs 70 crores alone in Tamil Nadu which is great achievement for a Telugu film. In fact, this is one of the biggest earners in Tamil.

Meanwhile, Baahubali will soon be released in foreign languages. Let’s wait and see how Hollywood audience will receive the picture.

Ever since Rajamouli revealed that he is to make a film with Mahesh Babu because they both have signed an agreement with a senior producer, fans are waiting for this combination to happen. But a major hurdle for this project is now unearthed.

Though a story is not yet developed, it looked like Mahesh will work with Rajamouli after Brahmotsavam and Baahubali 2 gets completed. As the superstar is continuously doing these soft family films from a while, fans are expecting him to play a larger than life hero like in Rajamouli’s movies. That’s why this combination excited them.

But with hero Nani revealing that they are planning for the Eega sequel after Baahubali: The Conclusion gets wrapped, it brought all those earlier rumours true that Rajamouli is indeed working on Eega sequel. So, there is no chance for Mahesh film to happen till mid-2018. If it starts then, the release might be in 2019 only. All these conclusions have drawn Mahesh fans only to upset more.
