Power Star Pawan Kalyan’s craze is increasing day by day. Now, a colony in Bethampudu village of Guntur district is named after Pawan Kalyan and they announced the same on his birthday of September 2nd. They named the colony as ‘Pawan Kalyan Nagar’, showing their gratitude for his aid in canceling land acquisition act. Andhra Pradesh government recently said that it was only in favour of land pooling and not the acquisition.

“Pawan Kalyan said not to go for land acquisition but to take land through pooling by persuading the farmers. That’s why we are now on the job of persuading farmers. We will take only by persuasion. We have to build a good capital city. The remaining few farmers, please cooperate with the government,” said Minister Narayana while addressing media recently. This statement clearly indicates that, Pawan Kalyan is the major reason for government going back on implementing land acquisition.

It may be recalled that, few hard core fans had installed Pawan Kalyan statues and a more went next level when Jana Sena Party Ganesh idols were put in several areas. In one word, ‘Pawan Kalyan is like god for his admirers’.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu is all set to shift his residence to Undavalli near Vijayawada along with his family. The Lingamaneni Guest House by the River Krishna is being readied as the official residence of the Chief Minister, who will be moving to the capital on the 9th September.

Already, CM’s wife Bhuvaneswari performed the house-warming ceremony along with Shanthi Puja and other special prayers at the new residence last Saturday. Bhuwaneswari also supervised the renovation works and changes to the building as per Vaasthu. Even the CM took part in the house-warming ritual in the evening of 29th August.

The Lingamaneni Guest House belongs to popular industrialist and Chandrababu’s friend Lingamaneni Ramesh. The guesthouse falls on Karkatta Road in Tadepalli mandal of the capital region, 10 kilometers away from Vijayawada. Already, all the required furniture has been shifted to the guesthouse. Also, several government offices and staff members too have been shifted to Vijayawada to carry out the administrative works.

MLA Wants Casinos in AP

BJP MLA from Visakhapatnam North and the party’s floor leader in the Assembly, Vishnu Kumar Raju proposed setting up of Casinos in Andhra Pradesh. Addressing the state’s Finance Minister Yanamala Ramakrsihnudu, the BJP MLA said that a majority of revenue from the state is going to Goa and Colombo, with several people from the state flying to these places for entertainment.

The MLA said that a majority of people from Vizag, Vijayawada, Godavari districts are looking for foreign shores to visit casinos and that the state is losing out a lot of revenue through taxes. The MLA further said that setting up casinos is not anti-law and that there’s no harm in the flourishing of casinos in the state.

Vishnu Kumar Raju further stated that Andhra Pradesh is witnessing a large number of tourists from foreign countries and that just a few tourist attractions will not be enough to entertain these foreign tourists, leading them to look for other entertainment venues like Goa.

However, Yanamala Ramakrsihnudu stated that the government has no such plans of setting up of casinos in the state and that it will consult the MLA if ever they plan for such casinos. The minister also said that the government will be earning 16 crore per year through the state run horse race courses like the one in Hyderabad.

Even on the fourth day of the ongoing monsoon assembly sessions, tempers flared between the YSRCP Chief Jagan and TDP leaders. Already, the house has been adjourned twice within a few hours, following the protests from YSRCP, forcing the Speaker for a discussion on inflation of consumer goods and their protests against the AP Minister of Labour Atchannaidu’s comments.

Speaking earlier, the minister rebuked YSRCP MLAs for stalling the house proceedings on several occasions. Addressing Jagan, Atchannaidu said that Jagan must remember that his party is not YSRCP but a ‘Psycho party’. These comments led to a huge uproar as the opposition MLAs and Jagan rushed towards the Speaker’s podium, demanding an apology from Atchannaidu.

After the house was adjourned for 10 minutes, Jagan lashed out at Atchannaidu’s comments and said that the entire state is watching the wrongdoings of the ‘Rowdy Chief Minister and his Rowdy MLAs’ in the Assembly. Objecting to Jagan’s comments, the AP government’s Chief Whip Kalva Srinivasulu said that Indian constitution is falling short of laws to punish Jagan for his numerous crimes.
