Rats Killed Infant. Who’s To Be Blamed?
The horrific incident of rats killing a 10-day infant in Government General hospital in Guntur has sent shivers down the spine. The tragedy occurred when a new born baby (born on Aug 17) was admitted to Neo-Natal ICU in GGH after he was identified with medical complications like congenital urinary tract disorder. Post surgery, he was recuperating well until he was attacked by rats.
Despite alleged repeated complaints by kid’s parents to hospital authorities over the danger posed with rats, neither proper attention nor care has been taken on the kid. This resulted in the passing away of days-old kid leaving their parents in grief.
Indisputably, the incident has to be condemned by all sections. But the moot question is who’s to be blamed and who’d take the responsibility? ICU caretakers or hospital administration or government officials or health ministry or AP Chief Minister or the boy’s parents? Who’d be held guilty of the incident? Where will the buck stops? Though State government and health ministry responded on time and suspended few officials and ordered probe, the possible outcome of the inquiry would be pointing fingers at soft targets.
Keeping the political blame game by Opposition parties, who’re crying foul, aside, the immediate step should be taken by health ministry and AP state government is to take precautionary measures so that such incident won’t repeat again. While the situation in the a district-headquartered and state’s proposed capital’s Guntur General Hospital is this, the situation in other general hospitals, government hospitals could be understandable.
Has government supplying necessary facilities, medicines in the first place is to be seen. If so, are they being delivered properly or are there any irregularities taking place. A thorough check is the need of the hour. Announcing compensation to victim won’t bring back the lost life. A young boy who had a bright future had lost his life for the gross negligence of the system. Yes, the system is to be blamed. All of us are part of this system.
Shame! Naked Women Used As Plates
Humiliating women are still abiding in modern culture. Mass cultural assumptions of masculinity belonging to men make it difficult for women to ‘fit in’ to male dominated organizations. This news will certainly disappoint even soft natured males.
Sydney’s Circular Quay Cruise Bar re-launch happened last night in ‘unique way’. Neither they announced any discounts nor did they introduce exclusive ‘cocktails’ in the party. For the uniqueness, they used female bodies as plates to serve food for customers. Women were hired to lie naked on long tables with nothing but fruit covering their bare bodies. What worse can we expect than this?
Needless to say, this shameless act of Cruise Bar organizers has caused a stir online. People are threatening to boycott the bar. Women’s advocate Melinda Tankard-Reist is one of the many objectors and she hopes people take a stand against the bar for ‘objectifying’ women. ‘I hope people decide to boycott Cruise Bar en masse for treating women like trays,’ said she.
Is this the way of treating women? People should not cross the barriers for the unique promotions and also to earn easy money!
Mahesh Babu’s Link With Musalimadugu
Superstar Mahesh Babu who inspired many to ‘ride bicycles’ as well as to ‘doing something for own villages’, has announced to adopt two villages, one from Andhra Pradesh and the other from a backward village in Telangana’s Mahabubnagar district.
Burripalem is the village he chosen from AP, while Chintalkunta is rumored to be the village Mahesh decided to adopt in Telangana. Indeed, Telangana Rural Development Minister KTR requested Mahesh Babu to adopt a village from Mahbubnagar as part of Grama Jyothi program.
Interestingly, people of Musalimadugu village of Khammam district are requesting Mahesh to adopt their village. In fact, they have a strong reason for requesting Mahesh Babu to take part in development of the village.
According to them, Mahesh Babu has roots in this village. Musalimadugu was native place of Mahesh’s grandmother Gundamma. Mahesh’s mother Indiramma also stayed in the village until she got married to Krishna. Mahesh used to spend holidays in granny’s house in Musalimadugu when he was child.
Gundamma’s house has almost reached dilapidated stage now. Hence, Musalimadugu villagers are appealing Mahesh Babu to adopt his grandmother’s homeland. Will Mahesh Babu listen to them? The actor will decide on the village he will adopt only after his arrival to Hyderabad from a family vacation in Thailand.
Congress contacts Pawan Kalyan to counter Jagan?
Power Star Pawan Kalyan seems to be raising his stakes steadily in the political arena of Andhra Pradesh. The fact that otherwise disregarding person like Chandrababu giving so much importance to him proves how indispensable he is currently in the residuary state with its fluid politics.
There have been reports that AP Congress is now viewing Jagan Mohan Reddy as its main rival because the party is very clear that he wants to wipe out Congress completely from the face of the AP. Hence, Congress high command is taking some corrective measures urgently.
In this regard, it has reportedly requested its star Chiranjeevi to take up the post of PCC chief, which Chiru declined politely. Hence Congress seems to have contacted Pawan Kalyan to crossover to its side, ostensibly to counter Jagan Mohan Reddy’s revival in the state of Andhra Pradesh.
No other information is available in this regard, but Pawan helping Congress doesn’t look like a reality anytime soon because Pawan has been holding Congress completely responsible for bifurcation mess and aftermath. Hence, the coming few months will be interesting to observe in AP politics!
Akhil Akkineni’s debut film is AKHIL
Akhil Akkineni’s debut movie is titled AKHIL. The first look posters of the movie were released a short while ago and they were instant hit with fans and common audience. The movie comes with a tagline ‘The Power of Jua’.
The shooting is nearing its completion and is left with three songs to be canned. They have confirmed that the movie is releasing on October 21st as Dussehra Special. The audio release event of the movie will take place on September 20th on the occasion of ANR Jayanthi.
The first look teaser of the movie will release on August 29th as Nagarjuna’s Birthday Special. VV Vinayak is trying his level best to give a sensational debut to Akhil. Accordingly there expectations and hype are skyrocketing as the movie release nears.

Actress Arrested In Forgery Case
Actress Neethu Krishna Vasu (28) who acted in the Malayalam movie Celebrations was arrested along with two others for producing forged documents to get US visa, after a complaint being raised by US consular officials. Neethu claimed that she was going to the US to perform at a wedding. Embassy officials inspected the wedding invitation and found out that the event was a bogus one following which she was detained. They were remanded to judicial custody.
In police interrogation, the actress stated that she was conned. “I never thought Raju would betray me with forged documents,” she cried at police. As per the police investigation, film producer Raju had approached Neethu to take her to the US where she could earn money by performing at marriage parties.
So, she gave Rs 2 lakh to Raju for processing the visa formalities.Police registered a case and are currently on hunt for producer Raju and broker Kunjumon.
New Scenes Added to Srimanthudu
Two new scenes have been added to Mahesh Babu’s blockbuster Srimanthudu. While the movie continuing its successful stint at Box Office, makers decided to add two new scenes to the film. Director Koratala Siva has now added two scenes – One scene is when villain Sampath warns Rajendra Prasad and others to give up their lands and the other scene shows where entire village including Shruti Haasan, Rajendra Prasad was about to leave. Considering the huge response for the film from audiences, Koratala said to have added these two scenes.
Initially, director cut these two scenes suspecting that the film would lengthy. However, audiences and critics lapped up the 2 hour 40 minutes film and made it a huge Box Office success. Meanwhile, trade talk has it that the movie managed to have crossed Rs 100 Crore share and standing next only to SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali.
At a time, films like Kick 2 are reducing their lengths post release, adding scenes to already declared hit movie showcases the true success of Srimanthudu.
Harish Rao Inspired Me: Nara Lokesh
You may not believe this, but it is true. TDP youth leader Nara Lokesh stated that Harish Rao belonging to rival party TRS, did inspire him a lot. ‘Harish Rao is a true mass leader. I like Harish’s nature of mingling with people,’ admitted Lokesh. In fact, there is rivalry between TDP and TRS since long time.
Moreover, Lokesh and Harish Rao criticized each other several times earlier regarding different issues. Now, Lokesh’s positive remarks on Harish Rao created interest among political circles. In fact, one needs enough discipline to appreciate good qualities of opponents.
Nara Lokesh, son of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, played key role in TDP winning majority seats in 2014 general elections. He is making efforts to enhance TDP cadre in rural as well as urban areas.
Lokesh is closely looking after construction of AP’s capital city Amaravathi. Apart from meeting senior leaders frequently, Lokesh is giving equal preference to youth leaders. Seems like, Harish Rao inspired him doing so.
Lokesh is expected to make entry in direct politics in 2019 elections. He is prime contestant for ‘TDP Chief Post’ after his dad Chandrababu’s retirement. Besides politics, Lokesh is doing charities. Great going Lokesh!
Soggade Chinni Nayana is a bilingual
Akkineni Nagarjuna’s upcoming offering, Soggade Chinni Nayana will have its first look release on the occasion of Nagarjuna’s Birthday on 29th. In one of the media interviews, Nagarjuna revealed that the movie is a bilingual and is being made simultaneously in Telugu and Tamil.
Currently the last schedule of the movie is going on in Hyderabad. This schedule will go on till the completion of the movie shoot. They are planning to complete the shooting by September 20th. The movie is likely to release in November.
Nagarjuna will be seen in a dual role in this film which is a hilarious comedy entertainer. Ramya Krishna will be romancing the Senior while Lavanya Tripathi will be seen along side the Junior. A new comer Kalyan Krishna is wielding megaphone for this project.
Rudhramma Devi Hindi rights picked up for a fancy price!
Reliance Entertainment and Abhishek Pictures had picked up the Hindi rights of Anushka and Rana Daggubati starer Rudhrama Devi. They have shelled out a whopping 22 Crores for this deal which is considered as very huge. Rudhrama Devi is all set for a grand release on September 17th.
This deal will come as a huge relief to Gunasekhar, the director and producer of the movie who is under severe financial stress.
Rudramma Devi is said to be India’s historical stereoscopic 3D film in which Anushka will play the title role while Rana will play the role of Chalukya Veerabhadrudu, the prince of Nidavardhyapuram (Present Nidadavole). Allu Arjun is roped in to the project for the role of Gona Ganna Reddy to increase some hype.

Lakshmiah Commits Suicide For AP Special Status
A 52 years old man named Lakshmiah hailing from Vedayapalem of Nellore Town has committed suicide seeking special status for Andhra Pradesh. Lakshmaiah, who is a handicapped, hanged himself. He was survived by a wife and two children. Lakshmiah used to work as a contract labour in housing board society. He is work less now.
Police found a suicide note at Lakshmaiah’s house that clarifies that he was upset with Centers delay in taking decision over special status to the state. The note reads: “Jai Prathyeka Hoda, Jai Jai Prathyeka Hoda. Andhra Pradesh certainly needs special status. AP needs to be developed. Unemployment issue should also be resolved. This is my dying declaration.” Police are investigating the case, whether there are any other reasons for his death or he did it for special status.
Earlier, congress leader Muni Koti committed suicide by immolating self on August 7th in demand for accordance of special status to AP. Political parties and public organizations called for bandh on 10th. Now, Lakshmaih committed suicide demanding special status.
Meanwhile, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu yesterday called Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other representatives to discuss about AP special status, packages and other issues. Centre should take immediate decision on special status in order to stop the suicides in AP.
No Takers For Pawan’s Song?
After singing the superhit number Roop Tera Mastana in Chiranjeevi’s Rikshavodu, famous pop singer Baba Sehgal became a favorite among Mega fans. Baba’s popularity rose multifold after he sang the chartbusters like Gabbar Singh and Jalsa for Powerstar Pawan Kalyan. Baba has a special craze among Pawan’s fans and he also shares nice rapport with Pawan.
Baba has a ritual of releasing a music video on each birthday of his friend Powerstar. The singer and composer released the Power Song a couple of years ago and got some applause from Pawan fans. Thrilled with the response, Baba again released a special music video to commemorate Powerstar’s birthday.
However, looks like Pawan fans are in no mood to encourage the song this time around and the song seems to have no takers with not many fans sharing it enthusiastically like last time. The song is full of graphics and foreign models and looks more like an MTV music video than a tribute song for Pawan. Well, better luck next time Baba.
SMART CITIES: 12 For TN, Only 3 For AP, 2 For TS
As part of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ambitious Smart Cities Mission, the Union Government on Thurday announced a list of 98 smart cities. Union Minister of Urban Development Venkaiah Naidu released the list of 98 cities, including 24 Capital cities of states (Jammu & Kashmir not included), 13 cities from Uttar Pradesh and 12 from Tamil Nadu. Dampening the hopes of people of both Telugu speaking states, only 3 smart cities have been picked from the successor state of Andhra Pradesh and 2 from Telangana. Other cities include 10 from Maharashtra, 7 from Madhya Pradesh and 3 from Bihar.
Announcing the list, Venkaiah Naidu stated that government’s prime motive is to “enhance” urban life. It may be recalled that PM Narendra Modi had launched criteria, guidelinnes for 100 smart cities to be developed on June 25. He had said that Smart Cities would be selected through City Challenge Competition. He said 13 crore population across 98 cities which is 35% of urban population will be covered under SmartCity Mission.
Except Jammu and Kashmir, all states have finalised the names of proposed Smart Cities through competition. Centre has allotted Rs 48,000 crore for development of 100 smart cities. Each smart city would get a Central assistance of Rs 100 crore per year for five years.

Bhale Bhale Magadivoi Censor Report
Nani’s latest offering, Bhale Bhale Magadivoi had completed its censor formalities a short while ago in Hyderabad. The movie had received clean U certificate from the censor board with out any cuts. Looks like Nani is offering a clean family entertainer this time.
The movie is all set for a grand release on September 4th. The theatrical trailer of the movie already drew good applause from the audience, increasing the expectations on the film. Touted to be an out and out family entertainer, the film have Bollywood actor Murali Sharma playing a crucial role.
The film is being produced by Bunny Vas under GA2 (A Division of Geetha Arts). UV Creations is the co-producer. Allu Aravind is the presenter. Malayalam Musician Gopi Sunder is composing the music.
