Superstar Mahesh Babu’s Srimanthudu had just finished a wonderful two weeks run at the box office. The movie had stunned every body with its steady run even on the working days, thanks to the extensive promotions conducted by the team.

The movie on its 14th day, touched the 50 Crore share mark in AP and Nizam. The movie will reach all time second spot crossing Attarintiki Daredi collections by the end of this weekend.

The Telangana government has appointed ex PCC chief Dharmapuri Srinivas (DS) as its Special Advisor. The government on Friday made an announcement passing the orders for the same. D Srinivas will be getting facilities/power of cabinet rank as Special Advisor. However, the appointment is valid only up to 1 year and government might extend the period once it’s lapsed.

D Srinivas is one of the senior leaders from Telangana. He worked with Congress for long time and once considered as loyal aid to Ms Sonia Gandhi. In fact, at times, he was in the race for the CM post in Congress. DS has been active in politics from Nizamabad district. He lost three times consecutively in general elections since 2009. DS was defeated twice in Nizamabad (Urban) Assembly constituency in the hands of BJP leader Yendala Lakshminarayana in the last general elections followed by by-election in 2010. Although he moved to Nizamabad (rural) in 2014, it didn’t overturn his fortune.

DS was defeated by TRS candidate Bajireddy Govardhan, who joined the party only a couple of days before the last date of filing of nominations, by a huge margin of 20,000 votes. Realizing that he has no bright future in Congress, DS joined TRS recently in the presence of KCR. KCR seems to have rewarded DS now.

Lion 100 days Centers List

Nandamuri Balakrishna’s Lion had completed its 100 days run at the box office today. The movie had reached this mark in 2 direct centers with four shows daily. Lion directed by Satyadeva opened to disappointing talk and bad reviews.

Superstar Krishna gave tough fight to legendary actors NTR and ANR in his heydays. 18 of his films were released in single year, shows his commitment and dedication towards cinema. The first generation star from the Ghattamaneni family introduced many technologies including Eastman Color, 70 MM, Cinemascope, DTS and also Cowboy, James Bond styles to Telugu industry. TDP’s coordinator for party workers’ welfare fund and scion of AP CM Chandrababu Naidu, Nara Lokesh, joined the growing list of celebrities who’re meeting the diseased children through an NGO ‘Make-A-Wish’. Lokesh has met one Vamsi Krishna who is suffering from Thoracic Kyphoscoliosis which affects the thoracic region of the spine. The boy hails from Kadapa and is said to be fan of Nara Lokesh. Coming to know of child’s wish, Lokesh met Vamsi Krishna

According to medical studies, Kyphoscoliosis is an abnormal curvature of the spine in both a coronal and sagittal plane. It is a combination of kyphosis and scoliosis. Kyphoscoliosis is a musculoskeletal disorder causing chronic underventilation of the lungs and may be one of the major causes of pulmonary hypertension. Victim Vamsi is being provided medical help and Nara Lokesh has promised all sort of help for the boy’s recovery.

Sharing the picture, Lokesh wrote on his micro-blogging page Twitter, “Met Vamsi via Make-A-Wish. We are ensuring his speedy recovery from Thoracic Kyphoscoliosis by providing medical help.”

While the entire country celebrated the 69th Independence Day on 15th August, a Headmaster of a government school in Khammam decided to be different. MD Sharif, the Headmaster at Surdepalli Government High School in Khammam district, refused to hoist the national flag and even backed off from saluting the tricolor.

On the morning of 15th August, MD Sharif directed the school’s in-charge Headmistress Prameela Rani to hoist the flag. Objecting to this, the villagers insisted that the HM should do the honours. Refusing the villagers’ requests, Sharif said that hoisting the flag and saluting to it are against the Holy Quran.

When the villagers kept on insisting the HM, he told them he will rather resign to his job than go against his beliefs and even left from the celebrations midway. The angry villagers told the media that Sharif has been working in the school for the last five years and that he always took leave on 15th August and 26th January to not attend the mandatory flag hoisting.

Chiru’s Take On His Own Politics!!

‘More than the experiences I’ve had in politics, none would have gone through such variations’, avers Megastar Chiru, recounting this full political journey of 7 years. He has claimed that wherever he is today, he’s happy with it, and will thrive to do something for Andhra Pradesh state that lost much in the bifurcation. Though he’s looked as a big culprit in the events that led to bifurcation, Chiru says he’s honestly fighting for ‘special status’.

‘I’m a party’s president once. Then I lost somewhere and won at other place. Became an MP and a minister but this is a costly experience. It costed my career. Felt many emotional and mental jitters after taking up Samikyandhra stand’ he says.

Chiru confirmed that he’s determined to bring that special status that was promised by Congress government in the Parliament. ‘I’m ready to join hands with any, to win special status for AP’, he adds. Does that ring any bells? His brother Pawan Kalyan is also fighting for the same special status with his own ally TDP-BJP combine.

Criticising the ruling BJP government, Chiru said, ‘Modi’s government is a matter of words, but not deeds. There could nothing be seen in terms of development. Future is of Congress. Definitely it is’, he concluded. That’s Chiru’s take on politics and his journey.

Time and again, Megastar Chiranjeevi has clarified that there is nothing between ‘Brothers’ at personal level, but the fact is that they have took a different political route. ‘We may not come together politically at anytime from now, but that brotherly bonding is something these political ideas and ideologies can’t separate’, says Chiru, sharing his thoughts about brother Pawan Kalyan on the eve of his 60th birthday, that’s falling tomorrow.

‘For any occasion inside the family, some other functions or meetings, we keep on meeting each other. Politics never come into our discussion. Both Pawan and Charan are like two eyes to me. They are my kids. There is nothing like the media cooked cold-war between us’, Chiru clarifies. He confirmed that whatever Pawan has taken up politically, might stand correct for some, and sound wrong for others, but having two political opinions from a single family isn’t a new thing.

‘Pawan is family, he’s different. Pawan in politics and they are different. We leave those differences outside the house and meet each other at home. There’s nothing like separated and all’, he added. Probably these revelations made by him will soften venom spilling rumour machines for a while.
