TDP’s victory in Nandyal by-poll might have been predicted. But none has expected that kinda majority that TDP has got. Many thought that the majority would be around 10 K to 15 K and max could be 20 K. But surpassing all those expectations, TDP managed to get over 27 K majority i.e close to 30 K.
Now, interesting analysis is being talked about in political circuits. The majority that TDP got is purely the party’s as neither Pawan Kalyan nor BJP announced their support openly. In fact, Pawan announced his neutral stand in the by-poll.
Despite the fact that Pawan has good bond with Bhuma family, Pawan refrained from supporting TDP in the by-election. Opposition party has rightly used this and carried out propaganda that Pawan is unhappy over TDP’s governance. Yet nothing has effected TDP’s prospects in Nandyal. On other hand, YSRCP also publicized that BJP is distancing from TDP and would likely to forge alliance with YCP in the next general polls.
All these have not with stand in front of people’s mandate that gave clear verdict in favour of TDP. Talk is that TDP leaders are of opinion that the party is in a comfortable position and confident of winning the coming general elections even without Pawan Kalyan’s support.
On other hand, top brass of TDP begs to differ with this and is in no mood to lose Pawan Kalyan. They are of the opinion that the result of Nandyal would bring difference in Pawan’s approach on TDP. As already indicated, BJP is keen on sailing with TDP in 2019 polls as well, all thanks to Nandyal by-poll result.
