Jana Sena Chief Pawan Kalyan’s comments in Tenali during Sankranthi celebrations on Sunday dashed the hopes of TRS president and Telangana CM K Chandrashekhar Rao on forging alliance between YSRCP and Jana Sena to defeat TDP in upcoming Assembly polls in Andhra Pradesh in April.
Pawan took a dig at TRS for openly supporting YSRCP and alleged that the ‘friendship’ between YSRCP and TRS was only to take revenge on AP CM Chandrababu Naidu and no interests of Andhra Pradesh are involved in this friendship.
Pawan’s statement came as a shock for KCR, who is said to be seriously making efforts to bring YSRCP and Jana Sene together to dethrone Chandrababu in Assembly polls as part KCR’ ‘return gift’ to Chandrababu for involving in recent Telangana Assembly polls by forging Mahakutami against TRS.
What caused more embarrassment to KCR is that Pawan questioning TRS, why it was welcoming Jagan with open hands in Telangana, when it threatened Jagan that it will not allow Jagan to set his feet in Telangana during Telangana statehood agitation days.
KCR is reportedly angry at Pawan Kalyan’s comment that he was trying to forge YSRCP-Jana Sena alliance only to take revenge on Chandrababu and nothing else.
KCR feels that Pawan’s statement will help Chandrababu as AP people may feel ‘sympathetic’ towards Chandrababu thinking that KCR and Jagan have joined hands only to defeat TDP.
KCR expects that Chandrababu may utilise Pawan’s comments during TDP campaigning in Assembly polls aggressively to attract ‘sympathy’ of AP voters towards him and flare up “Andhra sentiment”.
