It is now becoming increasingly clearer as to where Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan would contest from in the 2024 assembly elections. Sources say that he is planning to contest from Tirupati. Sources say the party leadership has studied several constituencies in the state and has finally zeroed in on Tirupati.
The reason? Tirupati has a considerable number of Balija voters, who form the bulwark of support base for the Jana Sena. In fact, Pawan’s brother Chiranjeevi too had won from Tirupati as an MLA in 2009. In fact, he had lost from his home constituency of Palacole to a political greenhorn in 2009 elections.
Now, Pawan too appears to have decided to contest from Tirupati. Lending credence to this buss, Jana Sena Political Affairs Committee chief Nadendla Manohar said that Pawan Kalyan would launch his padayatra from Tirupati on October 5. Sources say that Pawan Kalyan is likely to conduct his padayatra non-stop for six months.
Meanwhile, the Jana Sena is likely to take a call on alliance with the TDP very soon. Insiders say that a decision could be taken before the launch of Pawan Kalyan’s yatra.Nadendla Manohar called upon the Jana Sena activists to take up party activity in a big way from October 5,when the yatra begins.
