Entering the film industry as the younger brother of Chiranjeevi, Powerstar Pawan Kalyan took little time to establish his own credibility as a star hero. In his roller-coaster career spanning over two decades, the 49-year-old actor played a wide range of characters in different genres.
However, his role of Siddhu Siddhartha Roy in ‘Kushi’, which was released in 2001, still remains a favourite among his fans. Now, the classical film starring Pawan Kalyan and Bhumika Chawla completed 20 years on Tuesday.
Directed by SJ Surya and produced by AM Ratnam, Kushi turned out to be a blockbuster at the box office and it lifted Pawan Kalyan’s craze to a whole new level in Tollywood. The superb chemistry between the lead pair is a treat to watch, and Mani Sharma’s foot-tapping music and SJ Surya’s appealing narration took the film to a next level.
