Pawan Kalyan’s film on the backburner?

HYDERABAD: It’s been over a year since the film Bhavadeeyudu Bhagat Singh, starring Pawan Kalyan, was announced, but we now hear that shooting may commence only after the 2024 Andhra Pradesh Assembly elections, and even that, subject to the poll outcome.

It’s being said that Pawan, who is also a politician, wants a year to focus exclusively on that area of interest, and he will be more active on the electoral front from the summer of 2023, leading up to the polls.

The actor is currently shooting for Hari Hara Veera Mallu and wants to wrap up by 2023 summer. He may take up one more Telugu film under director Samuthirakani but would want to complete that too before devoting full attention to politics.

“In the circumstances, it is highly unlikely that Pawan will take up Bhavadeeyudu Bhagat Singh directed by Harish Shankar. It is a film that demands a lot of commitment from the actor, which he may not be able to provide at this point of time. The film is likely to move forward only after the elections,” says a source.
