Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan warned that AP capital should not be shifted from Amaravathi to other location in the state at any cost due to ‘political reasons’.
Pawan said the issue of capital city is not about any region in the state but of the entire state.
He said the previous TDP government had already spent thousands of crores of rupees on Amaravathi and all this will go down the drain if the present YSRCP government changes the capital location.
Pawan cautioned that if capital cities are changes whenever governments change, then people will lose trust on governments and democracy.
Pawan said the present YSRCP government should try to construct capital city in Amaravathi in a more better way than the TDP government instead of shifting the capital city.
Scores of Amaravathi farmers, who gave up their lands for the construction of new capital city in AP, met Pawan Kalyan in Hyderabad today and expressed their concerns over AP CM YS Jaganmohan Reddy attempting to shift the capital from Amaravathi city.
Farmers expressed deep concern over their future if capital city is shifted from Amaravathi at this juncture.
Pawan assured farmers that he and Jana Sena will stand by farmers and bring pressure on Jagan not to shift capital from Amaravathi.
Pawan promised to tour Amaravathi on August 30 and 31 and see for himself the progress of Amaravathi works.
Pawan promised farmers that Jana Sena will intensify agitations against YSRCP government if it goes ahead unilaterally on shifting the capital from Amaravathi.
