Consumer goods major Procter & Gamble has decided to set up a new unit in Telangana besides expanding the existing plant in Mahabubnagar district.P&G India CEO and MD Al Rajwani met Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on Friday and offered to give 80 per cent of jobs in their units only to locals of Telangana.
He sought cooperation of Telangana government in allotment of land and other incentives for P&G expansion plans and in return offered 80 per cent jobs only to TS locals.
Rajwani informed KCR that the existing plant in Mahabubnagar has 786 employees and the company wants to increase their number to 1200 soon and TS locals would get 80 per cent quota in all the newly created jobs in the company henceforth.
