The COVID-19 has made many lives vulnerable. As this is a with standing and a prolonged effect, the suffering is also long-lasting. Mainly, the entertainment industry has taken a huge hit as the demand for the OTT platforms in increasing day by day. Many small and medium movie producers are getting attracted to lucrative deals made by many platforms.
In the meanwhile, the multiplex chains, and exhibitors association started to act before the situation goes out of hand and requested the government to run the theatres with 50% attendance. They say that the tickets will be sold with one-seat-gap for every audience and they won’t allow a family to watch a movie without physical distance.
Adding that they will maintain social distance norms at bathrooms and cafeteria, the exhibitors’ associates asked the government to permit them to run the shows. Practically it is a far fetched shot. In a closed space, that too with Air Condition being run, the virus will spread easily and no physical distance measure can prevent it.
