Mr.Perfectionist Amir Khan’s recently released Pk directed by Rajkumar Hiranani is making filmmakers happy breaking all records minting money at the box offices.
However the film is getting surrounded by controversies galore making it lose its sheen. Couple of days back Amir Khan released a statement that he was shocked to see his interview on Pakistani websites in the name of religion and Islam. He said the interview was a fake one published to impersonate him. His legal team already swung into action sending legal notices to all the websites.
Earlier Delhi High Court dismissed petition which sought ban on PK alleging that the film insulted Hindu culture and religion. Chief Justice RS.Endlaw dismissing the petition said there was nothing wrong in the film.
Satish Kalyankar, member of Cenbtral Board of Film Certification (CBFC) claimed that he objected to some scenes of the film but he was ignored by other members. Some Censor Board members even met Dwarakapeeth Shankaracharya Swaroopanand Saraswathi who sought ban on the film PK.
When UP CM Akhilesh Yadav’s office issued statement that Akhilesh Yadav watched the film PK downloading it before taking a decision on giving tax free benefits, Sanjay Sharma,, Founder of TAHRIR (Transparency, Accountability and Human Rights Initiative for Revolution) complained against UP CM with Hazratganj Police on Jan 2 seeking action against Akhilesh Yadav for the offence of downloading the film from a website and watching a pirated copy of the film.
Prior to that a case has been registered against director,producer and actor of PK at Bajaj Nagar Police station for hurting the sentiments of Hndu Religion on sections 295A,153 A. Renowned lawyer and politician Subrahmanya Swamy announced that he will soon take action under PMLA on Aamir Khan & co for laundering terrorist finance adding that the funds connection to Dubai and ISI must be investigated.
Yoga Guru Ramdev called for social boycott of all those involved in the making of PK. While VHP protested vociferously against the film alleging that it contained many scenes which hurt religious sentiments of Hindus, and even claimed to have written to Information and Broad Casting Ministry demanding curbs on the film, senior BJP leader LK.Advani lavished praises on the film.
