Cat race begins in Telangana Congress. There are many contenders for single MLC. Everyone is trying one’s luck to steps into Legislative Council. Telangana Congress leaders like Ponnla, DS, Danam and Anjan Kumar are trying for lone MLC seat in the state.
Congress will get one MLC under MLA’s quota as D. Srinivas will be retired in March. All these leaders have lost their election in General elections. However these differences once again come to for MLC seat among the leaders.
As per buzz, CLP leader K. Jana Reddy wants DS to continue for MLC instead of Ponnala. Reportedly, Jana is not convinced that person who selected for MLC also got appointed for leader of the party in Legislative Council.
Ponnala will already holding TPCC position. If selected for MLC, Ponnala will become leader of the opposition in Council. Ponnala is able to draw the attention of Congress High Command with his padayatra against moving of Chest Hospital.
High Command also observed that senior leaders like Jana reddy and DS didn’t participate in the rally. Daanam Nagender and his followers have believed that giving MLC to Daanam will help to Congress in coming GHMC elections.
