A BJP MLA faced the wrath of the protesting farmers who are protesting against the controversial Agriculture bills. A group of farmers have reportedly thrashed an MLA and tore his clothes.The incident was reported at Mukksar district in Punjab on Saturday when BJP’s Abohar MLA Arun Narang reached Malout to hold a press conference. Farmers reached the spot and surrounded him.
As per the media reports, a group of farmers threw black ink at the MLA. Following this, the police shifted the MLA and others to a shop. When the MLA and others came out of the shop, the farmers thrashed him and tore his clothes.The pictures and videos of the farmers trashing the BJP MLA are widely shared on social media. A section of netizens has backed the farmers and said they expressed their anger over the farm bills.
As per the media reports, the farmers have earlier warned the BJP leaders to not hold any press conference. When the MLA reached the area, the farmers expressed their anger.After escorting the MLA to a safe place, the Police identified 250-300 protesting farmers and booked them under Section 307 (attempt to murder) and other sections. The Police investigation is in progress.
