Rakul Preet Singh appears before ED in drug case

Actor Rakul Preet Singh has appeared before the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on September 3 as part of a money-laundering probe in connection with the Tollywood drug case.

The high-end drugs racket, which was busted in Hyderabad in 2017, had created a sensation back then. Now, the officials summoning the celebrities for the investigation have caught the attention of everyone.

The ED had earlier summoned over 10 Tollywood personalities in connection with the racket of supplying high-end drugs such as LSD and MDMA, which was busted by the Telangana’s Prohibition and Excise department.

On September 2, actress-producer Charmee Kaur appeared before the ED officials. Earlier on August 31, filmmaker Puri Jagannadh had appeared before the central agency.

A Special Investigation Team (SIT) of Telangana’s Prohibition and Excise department had also probed the alleged drug links with the Telugu film industry, and had then grilled over 10 people connected to the Tollywood and had also collected hair and nail samples.
