A ramp situated on exterior part of Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s bungalow ‘Mannat’ in Mumbai would be knocked down following complaints by BJP MP Poonam Mahajan and also by inhabitants about confusion and traffic increased because of to it. Officials today told Mr Khan would be asked to get rid of it within seven days.
They will be providing him (Khan) a notice tomorrow, Additional Municipal Commissioner Sanjay Deshmukh told. Mrs. Mahajan, on January 29, had written a letter to Municipal Commissioner Sitaram Kunte. Locals of the area have long been protesting regarding the chaos and traffic escalation there due to the ramp, Mr Mahajan told reporters.
Her letter did not mention Mr Khan, but only said the ramp build by “one bungalow owner” was creating “permanent barrier to people accessing the public road”. The ramp is familiar to be used by the bungalow owner to positioning his private heavy motor vehicle.
In view of the welfare and comforts, requesting him to start demolition of the illegal ramp, it said. Locals allege that the ramp stops them from utilizing a portion of the road and blocks the way to the steps of Mount Mary Church.
