Generally directors approach producers and heroes with scripts. Ghazi director Sankalp Reddy and hero Rana have a different story.

Ghazi is a special film on Indian screens based on underwater action centered on true events from 1971 Indo-Pakistan war. The film starring Rana, Tapsee, Kay Kay Menon and others is releasing on February 17th in multiple languages and in Hindi it is The Ghazi Attack.

Sankalp first made a research on Pakistan submarine PNS Ghazi and its mysterious sinking in Vizag shallow waters during the 1971 war time. He wrote a book and then adopted it for a feature film.

“Sankalp constructed a submarine set in lower tank bund, Hyderabad and prepared a project on how to manage the shooting inside. I was actually surprised knowing this and met him. I read Ghazi story completely and requested him to make me a part of his project,” Rana said.  Produced jointly by PVP Cinema and Matinee Entertainments, Ghazi is a high budgeted technical extravaganza with world class underwater shots.
