Reason Why YSR’s Photo Removed From Assembly

Couple of weeks ago, the removal of former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh YS Rajasekhara Reddy’s photograph from the AP Assembly led to a series of protests by the YSRCP leaders. Several demands were made by the party’s leaders to reinstall the photograph as it is.

Today, the AP Government’s Chief Whip Kalva Srinivas revealed the reasons why the photograph was removed. The Chief Whip said that certain protocols must be followed before installing the photographs of political leaders and other important personalities in the Assembly’s Committee Hall.

Kalva Srinivas further explained that a special committee must be formed, views of all the political parties must be taken into consideration and finally the Assembly Speaker must take the decision in installing the photographs. Srinivas cited Alluri Seetharama Raju’s Statue as an example.
