Renowned TV journalist and senior anchor Rohit Sardana died of cardiac arrest on Friday, days after he tested positive for the novel coronavirus. He was 41.
With the untimely demise of Rohit, journalists and others who knew him were shocked and heartbroken.
Rohit Sardana, who was an executive editor and TV news anchor with Aaj Tak of the India Today Group, is survived by his wife, two daughters and parents. He was awarded the Ganesh Shankar Vidyarthi Puraskar by the Centre in 2018.
Sardana earlier worked with Zee News, where he hosted the debate-based show ‘Taal Thok Ke’. As the news of popular media personality’s death spread, condolences started flooding in on social media. Several prominent persons like PM Narendra Modi, Union Minister Amit Shah and many others offered tributes to the popular anchor.
