Renowned Tamil actor Pandu passes away due to covid complications

Renowned Tamil actor Pandu, known for his roles as a comedian in numerous films, breathed his last during the wee hours today. He was 74 and breathed his last due to covid complications without responding to treatment.

Actor Pandu will be taken directly to the cremation ground from the hospital and the final rites would be held in Besant Nagar cremation. Pandu and his wife Kumudha, who had tested positive for Covid-19 recently, were admitted at a private hospital in Chennai for medical treatment. His wife continues to be in the ICU while her husband dies.

He made his maiden entry in the Tamil film ‘Karaiyellam Shenmabagapoo’, he later shared screen space with Rajinikanth, Vijay, Ajith, and many other top actors in Tamil cinema. Pandu is popular for his cameo role in Ajith Kumar-starrer ‘Kadhal Kottai’ and as a police cop in Vijay’s ‘Ghilli’. He was last seen in ‘Indha Nilai Maarum.

Pandu apart from acting was into business too and owns a company called Capital Letters. He marvellously carved nameboards of many leading film personalities’ residences and offices. He also designed AIADMK flag.

Entire Tamil industry mourned his death and shared deep condolences to his family.
