We don’t know whether it is due to the heavy cmpeition in South Cinema or the desperate times in Bollywood or other reason but lot of directors from Telugu are making their way into Bollywood. Rajamouli has become a huge directed all over the country and DD Rajamouli is a brand now. We have seen people getting awestruck by Sukumar’s work in ‘Pushpa. Filmmakers like Sailesh Kolanu and Gautham Thinnanuri have made their directorial debuts recently.
Now there are other director who are lining up for an entry into Bollywood. Some of them were students of maverick filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma. As it is known, RGV himself started his career in Telugu and set up an office in Mumbai later. He made a few wonderful films which are liked even today. Now, his favourite student is arriving with ‘Liger’. Puri Jagannadh already made ‘Buddha Hoga Tera Baap’ in Hindi but he is looking to becoming busy in Bollywood with ‘Liger’ which has Vijay Deverakonda in the lead. He is also making another project named ‘Jana Gana Mana’ which is also a pan-Indian film.
As we know, Anurag Kashyap is a student of Ram Gopal Varma and Krishna Vamsi made his debut in Hindi with ‘Anthapuram’ remake with Karishma Kapoor and SRK in the lead. If the sources are to be believed, Ajay Bhupathi who made a stellar debut with ‘RX100’ is going to direct a Hindi film soon. Ajay ran out of chances in Telugu after a debacle like ‘Maha Samudhram’.
Apparently, Ajay Bhupati will be teaming up with Rajkumar Hirani soon. The acclaimed director is impressed with Ajay’s work and were bouncing ideas for a long time. Apart from listening to ‘RX100’ director’s stories, Hirani even came up with a script with the help of his team. A trusted source claim that Ajay Bhupati will be director whichever story Mr. Hirani picks. The official announcement is yet to be heard and we need to wait and see how things turn out for Ajay Bhupati in Bollywood.
