‘RRR’ Rights Sold For A MindBoggling Prize!

Post ‘Baahubali’, Rajamouli is making a magnum opus titled ‘RRR’ starring NTR and Ram Charan in the lead. This pan-Indian film is made on a budget of over 400 crores by DVV Danayya. Alia Bhatt and Olivia Morris are the female lead while Ajay Devgn is playing a key role. There are huge expectations on this Rajamouli directorial and there are a lot of offers coming in this project’s way.

As we know, NTR will be seen as Komaram Bheem while Charan plays the role of Alluri Seetharamaraju. The shooting has been going on for the past two years and it was stalled for a couple of months due to lockdown. The film is reportedly in its last leg of shooting. The two teasers which came out till now created records on social media and raised the hype to a whole new level.

Since it is one of the most-awaited projects, the pre-release business of ‘RRR’ is shattering all the existing records as per the experts. Apparently, the theatrical rights of this film were sold for a humongous 500 crores. In the South, the Nizam rights were reportedly sold for 75 crores while the Andhra and Ceeded region summed up to 165 crores. The Tamil Nadu rights added up to 48 crores while the Karnataka rights were given for 45 crores. Rumors are that the rights for Kerala summed up to 15 crores. On the whole, the film was sold for 348 crores and the North Indian rights fetched over 100 crores. Insiders say that overseas rights were sold for another 70 crores.

Apart from that, the satellite and digital rights for all the languages amounted to 225 crores and this deal will be closed soon as per sources. If this news turns out to true, ‘RRR’ is going to set a new record in terms of pre-release business in India.
